I feel like the "breaking up" path for Polly's story needs an early end point. It doesn't make to me that the player is still texting Polly, or caring enough that he wants Anna to send him updates. And there's dialogue that doesn't make sense like "Appreciate what you have" which is just dumb when they're already broken up.
There should just an option to say "Don't message again" and end the story early.
EDIT: Okay I rewind back to the other path and it's got similar issues. If you're going to give players the dialogue option to say "i want to break up" then actually LET THE PLAYERS BREAK UP AND END THE STORY. It is incredibly frustrating when it feels like the player choices are just being ignored.
Yeah, those paths could be done a bit better, but there are also a lot of good things.
I think that the main, cuck path, is the best and others are more there to add some meaningful branchings. It's not easy to do that, and I think this game actually has done quite a few good things on that front. Like, the game doesn't just cut you off and you get to see what's going on in her life as the same events unfold, but from a different perspective - which in my opinion is great.
I personally just don't like the tone of the branchings because Polly is kinda an asshole, and as I saw on X, it backlashed to her personally as people connect that to the real person. Otherwise, it's realistic that someone will want to hear updates after a breakup and game design-wise that's a good way to give that content and more playtime to the player.
