Welp. I picked this up because the new one came out, and because at this point it's pretty clear that if it will get a better translation... it's not happening any time soon and I'll have plenty of time to forget details and replay it again if said better translation comes along.
Now, the thing is, this game needs a better translation to be fully enjoyable. One No Hut's style relies on going crazy on the raunchy, over-the-top fuck-talk from the start, and then actually escalating to unreasonable levels, so to speak. Unfortunately, GPT 3.5 is just not good enough to really capture that properly at all times. Like for example with a good number of Sakura's events, where the translation says "ass and pussy", when it should be saying ass-pussy or something along those lines because Sakura only gives blowjobs and gets fucked up the ass until a specific event where she gives her vaginal virginity over to Kimohiko.
There are, or course, plenty of pronoun issues, Kimohiko having a pussy, icons breakings, names breaking and other things. Rurika keeps getting called Sakura in several events. Kimohiko's name is replaced by Kenichi's in several places. Sometimes you just see a [icon0] tag or whatnot. The ordering of sentences and phrases turns into a mess... So on and so forth. If I were to put in screenshots for every individual issue, I'd likely hit the attachments limit if there is one long before I'd be done.
While the translation is definitely notably more understandable than other MTLs, the fact that you have to constantly pause to process what the fuck you're reading is really bad in terms of enjoying it, especially for a game that is meant to lean pretty heavily on the aforementioned raunchy fuck-talk.
So yeah.
Better translation. We need it. I definitely want it, and I don't doubt that there's people out there that still want it.
Now, this game is another example of Ore No Hut's established style. That is to say, he leans into the cliches of NTR and ramps them up hard. By now, you can pretty much always expect the following from one of their games:
1. Cuck that's oblivious to the point of it being ridiculous? - Check.
2. Cuck with a dick that's so tiny that finger are bigger? - Check.
3. Unreasonably curvy girls? - Check.
4. Ridiculously oversized bull? - Check.
5. Sex starting really fast and then just ramping up harder? - Whoa boy Check.
6. Actual corruption? - Yes, actually.
7. Sex and pleasure being like Hard Drugs? - You bet you ass there's tons of that.
I'm not gonna bother spoilering this bit, since people are gonna want to know, but the whole thing starts with both Rurika and Sakura getting fucked stupid in the intro.
That said, like with the Kaede game and the Dark Fairy game before this one, there's a reason why the girls have issues. In this specific case, it's because the bull, Kimohiko, is a mutant that was basically specifically engineered to drive women sexually insane with his pheromones and turn them into horny messes that can't resist him when he gets going. The girls let him get away with it because he's a victim and because the information he has is very important, but after that initial incident, they do their best to avoid being alone with him, and the guy can't actually DO anything while McCuck-kun is around, because as weak as McCuck-kun is when compared to the girls, he can still twist Kimohiko into a pretzel if he wants too.
All that to say is that there's a decent enough reason why the NTR happens and why it's avoidable. Avoid situations where the girls are left alone with the guy, and he can't do anything.
The build up for the corruption is all about leaving them alone over and over with Kimohiko, which causes them to be exposed to his powers and to becomes increasingly addicted to them, until he basically brainwashes them with his dick and powers. If you complete the fall of Pink Snake Gang without triggering the total fall event, you get the Happy Ending where Kimohiko is sent away and all that and McCuck-kun moves on with his life along with the girls. It makes sense too. Without the guy around, they can recover from the effects of his powers just fine.
However, once the line is crossed to the point where their priorities are completely fucked, things obviously start going bad for the MC and not just him. Because Kimohiko is not a victim of a Pink Snake Gang as they'd assumed.
Unlike other NTR games... a HUGE number of events happen during and after the fall, rather than on the way to it. One No Hut leans hard into escalation and so on, and they explore pretty thoroughly how fucked up things get. The reveal isn't the end of the game. It's the beginning of the MC's torture.
That said, unlike other Ore No Hut games, there's actually a neutral ending even after the girls get completely corrupted. There's a fight at the end where MC can fight against the girls to protect the city from them and Kimohiko, and you CAN win that fight legitimately. At least, as long as you dropped all the miracle stat-ups from the normal quests on the MC, reached ~lv 30, upgraded all his gear to the max and use that one accessory from the store that reduces electricity and heat damage. That and some 2400 HP pots will let you beat the two. This leads to an ending where the two run off with Kimohiko, McCuck-kun becomes the new Captain of the Special Police after saving the City, and he dedicates his life to bring them to justice yada yada.
Beyond that, the gameplay is pretty standard RPGM slop. If you want to beat it without triggering any more of Kimohiko's events, you'll need to do all the non-H side-quests and do some grinding. You'll also have to be smart about the skill selection on the way to the final battle. Rurika's heal-skills are really good tbh, and don't forget that the passive upgrades only cost money, not special resources. Likewise, the general skills shouldn't be ignored, and the Breath skill can essentially let you have infinite SP for infinite grinding.
All in all, it's a pretty decent NTR game, and I don't say that often for games where the NTR is a matter of player choice, basically. At least it gives something of a reason WHY the game is like that. Sadly, most of the way the game makes things obnoxious in terms of providing a gameplay incentive to get Kimohiko's bonuses are related to stat stuff, rather than needing brain power or anything. It's less well polished than Kaede's game was in that aspect, but better than the Dark Fairy game which turned tedium into a whole other form of stupid.
I'd have honestly spent a lot more time with it (there's a LOT of scenes to enjoy and the majority of them are pretty long), but the translation makes it difficult to enjoy it in full. We really need a better one for this one. Someone please make it happen.
