Plus, the voices (or at least the ones he usually uses) just make his videos indistinguishable from most other porn animations with voice acting. I REALLY don't understand the hype.

I think it's because it gives things a bit more life and makes it feel like less of a PMV.
I'm in the medium category: I like nyakumi's videos best when it's music and sfx only. Voices are ok, but I prefer to not have them.

Nyakumi's style has always been based around fucking to a beat so I don't really see the point of him adding voice acting.
That said, I generally do not care for audio in porn. Most of the time, the audio is muted. Pro porn and anything with voice acting sounds exaggerated and obnoxious. Only amateur porn is something i turn the volume up for.
