April 2024 Daily Animation Challenge: Day 3/3

You people are the worst he's doing these 3 day challenges and involving other artists in them and all you can do is complain, your getting extra content and I for one enjoy his story telling.

I am a big fan of Nyl's and normally have nothing but praise for his work, but I, and apparently others, just weren't feeling it as much this time.
Is this so wrong? Does everything have to be unending, uncritical positivity 100% of the time?

Nah, I actually hate the trend of animators making a 1 minute long video wherein there's about 8 seconds of actual sex/porn, and it's played off like "Haha this is quirky and hot, they got instant karma!", but it isn't interesting. The recent couple of videos from Pixel-Perry are like this and I hate it.

Nah, I actually hate the trend of animators making a 1 minute long video wherein there's about 8 seconds of actual sex/porn, and it's played off like "Haha this is quirky and hot, they got instant karma!", but it isn't interesting. I agree that focusing too much on the "story" of what is essentially masturbation material is cringe.
But you need to see this challenges for what they are, just some whimsical work. You see this type of behavior in certain jobs, for example, when a game developer adds easter eggs. It's just something that strikes their fancy in the moment, and once they get it out of their system, they'll get back to what they actually need to work on.

The thing is that this challenge is just a challenge and it isnt content in a way. It isnt meant for the viewers but more for the artists themselves to test their skills. You should be less like "UEAH I WANT TO JERK OFF MY PENIS" and more like "damn, they made this stuff in a day for 3 days straight". Somehow, its also a challenge for the viewers to stop masturbating so much for 3 days lol

Is it challenging themselves, or telling on themselves? At a conservative length, artists make a 1 min animation (if combined) over 3 days. So why does it take some of these artists months to put out a 1 or 2 min animation?

Not even throwing shade specifically at the artists participation, but these challenges do show what a 3d animator is capable of if they apply themselves. So every time these happen, it just reinforces to me that the math ain't mathing. And while some artists for sure milk their subscribers, I feel like most just don't know how to be self employed and because of the nature of patreon/subscribstar there aren't good ways to hold them accountable once an animator reaches a moderate level of success.

You are deceiving yourself with that math right there in the first paragraph, someones productivity cant really be described with math, you know. And yeah, if people could put their 90% potential in everything they do at all times, things sure would be better but, in this case, because patreon/subscribestar arent really that much regulated, you cant bring them to do it, thats exactly what you said. I guess thats the point of the challenge, they try to do more in less time

that's why Nyl could've made the sex scenes longer and more interesting instead of wasting time on intros

I appreciate Nyl wanting to animate a boring little intro but let's be real here, we all want the sex scenes. It was disappointing, that's all. Pixel-Perry's recent little animations are really boring too.

Or let the guy do what he fucking wants in his little challenge? Maybe he wanted to focus more on "story". Im not saying I didn't want him to animate longer sex scenes, I definitely would've liked it more, but why not see it for what it was? Just a challenge with a different approach. Also, lets not forget that most of his recent animations are also short-ish sex animations - so its a weird thing to call it "boring", I mean its pretty clear you suffer from the tiktok brain rot with 0 attention span with the way you're in here spamming its boring even when people disagree with you.

Go grab your phone and watch your subway surfer gameplay with an AI voice-over reading copy and pasted fake reddit stories while also watching porn on your pc and jacking off your lil worm

Either you pay people to do stuff you want/like or shut the fuck up

I'm gonna play devils advocate and just assume it's because he's the literal top futanari animator in the scene currently,
if there was others like him with different tastes then there would be less demand and complaining about what he makes.
Most futa animators are on SFM the blender ones aren't on his level (at least in my opinion)

I mean personally, im not upset at dailies. Im just not even sure if it is a good test of skills with them being so long because they end up rushing more than they should.
Its like an 2D artist being like "Alright, im going to draw an 9 page porn comic in 1 day"....But they dont do that since they're just going to get a bunch of sketches and doodles since its biting off way more than a person can chew.

Imo they should be 30 seconds or less.

But, im just a freeloader for now again, so my opinion shouldn't mean much lmao.

I like Nyl's animations, dick sizes doesn't bother me even i think they are unrealistic. I'm okay with it because Nyl does video game/comic book characters that doesn't exist in real life. His newest ones Worshipping Selune and Potion of Disguise are great too.

I don't consider the intros a waste of time. Sometimes a little build up or context makes things hotter even when the eventual sex is just a small snippet.
