Are they really that bad? I rarely see positive things said about them in this site so I haven't touch any of Miel games.
Kinetic novel are just wasted potential. If they want to do a cool story do a hentia or doujinshi. If they want to give you a little control but still make it visual you get a Visual Novel.
So what is Kinetic Novel?(how I think of it) Basically adult doujinshi with/without full audio. No control, no games and no routes(no girl, loyal man, avoid the trap, heram, etc).
