follow up: in dungeon mode, it shows a troll with a woman suspended above it. but once that scene ends theres no where to progress, unless im blind. is that the end of the dungeon mode, or is there a scene with it?

Hmm so finally got around to playing the new intro/story for Act 1 and man. Has really been toned down. Feels a lot less porn game and more so just game. The dark/horror and urgent feeling is pretty much gone. No dread about who's going to get brainwashed and raped next by old dude. No horror of random folks getting fucked into monsters.
I'm curious if it's going to ramp up later. Or is it a whole shift into a new and softer direction. Even as someone who leans more vanilla and would naturally jive more with the new story. I kinda miss the dark and fucked up nature of the original.

Thinking about the original game, most of that kinda... rape and brainwash aura came from Lord Dogeshuna, but he's not present in the game as of right now. The best thing I could say is that it's roughly equivalent to just chapter 1, which means that the depth of our involvement isn't that great (though there is the run-in with the Nymph cult who brainwash people into sex drones but I digress).
I don't think that the story will be necessarily 'less dark' since the Nymph cult has yet to play its hand (and the second Demon Lord isn't around yet), and at the same time, I don't agree that the it feels a lot less porn game and more so just game because the main story of this game wasn't super porn-game plot. The plot is very much a normal 'defeat the demons' plotline, it's just that one of the demon lords is a sex demon with sex powers(which considering the existence of succubi isn't necessarily even rare in non-porn games).
As for urgency... any semblance of urgency is introduced during chapter 2, pretty much, when you talk to the Voice and she tells you that 'if you don't stop the demons the world's gonna end prob'. Considering the pregnancy release ending with Kohaku, that's probably still a present thing, it's just not been stated out loud. People are still probably getting fucked into monsters, considering that Takuto(forgot his name, that one homeless guy) still gets turned into a monster in this version of the story, we just didn't see the scene for it this time.

Ah right that's his name. Don't even think he's been mentioned once thus far. But it has nothing to do with a "super porn-game plot". Original story had the lord guy dick down the MCs childhood friend. Dick down Adam's chick. Brainwashing and dicking down other females. There was no transformation for the bum behind the scenes. You saw that succubus looking chick making moves. The current story ain't even remotely in the same ballpark as the original. And instead has gone standard hero's tale. It very much feels like porn game to regular game. Even if it we still in the 1st chapter. The change in tone is beyond noticeable. And nah, the urgency was always there for me. Because Dogeshuna was making moves, doing fuck shit beforehand.
Which brings me back to my original wondering. Does it ramp up later or will it all be toned down in general.
did you met him earlier at the port town and recused? if yes then he may be at the adventure guild, if no then it could be a bug im not sure because i never see something like that
Actually I got him eventually. At some he appeared in the port town when I got there at night.
Does anyone know why after 5 years there still isn't a gallery in the game? There are so many great scenes that you can only see once (unless you use a new save file).

someone knows how to fix the bug with minus experience to the requirement for the next level, I have -2333121 (approximate number), and load the old safe is very far away, it's almost the beginning of the game, or how you can fix the numbers of strength and other stats

Did they tone down the attack on the orphanage as well ? Those human-eating Knolls scared the f outta me when I first met them in the game long ago. The confrontation between Jimmy and the thug's leader is gone as well...

Nope the orphanage wasn't toned down. It currently doesn't exist at all. Has either been removed or will come later. I personally think it was removed and won't be coming back though. And maybe I wasn't paying attention and missed the dialogue. But I don't recall even seeing mention of the knolls. Everything you knew before, might as well be forgotten.
Does anyone know what the latest version of the game with the original story is?

Fun news.
There are now two versions of the story. The original one, which was in 0.5 that I think a download link for still exists on here.
And the new one, in 0.80, which only consists of 1 chapter.
