The latest version release was on March 2025, what is being shared here are hotfixes and bonus side quests.
Version 0.50 is the last version in RPG Maker VX Ace. It has the old Story which is longer and some content that was not ported to the newest version, but it has lower resolution and lower performance, though I'm not really sure about the performance thing.
After that version Techno remade the game in RPG Maker MV, higher resolution, but he discarded the Main Story and some content due to "political correctness".
After that he was not planning on adding any story whatsoever, he believes that it would be best as just a going around and doing side quest and random events, but his supporters asked for a story, so he decided to make a new more short story.
In March 2025 the last version (0.80) was released which contains only Chapter 1 of the New Main Story, and the dev said that he was not going to release any more updates until the game official full release, he was only going to share hotfixes.
But even after his announcement, people still donated to him, so he felt forced to give something in return, in this case he started porting some old events of Iris (the blond elf) but as bonus content, and after that he released a few mini games and side quest for the game, 1 per month.
The hotfixes are Patch A to Patch G (patch g shared this month). The side quests are very basic and short and they may not be in the full version (Iris bonus events and this month content, the Gyaru Dwarf follower will be in the final version).
Now, I would recommend to download the Patched version shared by Usuisthekami, I linked it the "Info&Patches" section, and then add the January content.
The current progress of the game was shared not to long ago, but so far the writing of all the 5 Chapters is done, he is implementing them with the art and the events, currently finishing Chapter 3. After he finishes the Main Story he is going to work on the other mechanics and erotic content.
Techno wants to release the game in 2026, but who knows if its going to happen.
I don't know about the mods.
what??? no shot, i saw multiple vids it had more, like being able to have a relationship with the shop keeper and a lot more. means u can become a 2 star adventurer atleast

man, ngl i geniunely like the main story and was hoping for more but it looks like i have to wait for the final version like u said which had 5 chapters.
but going on, how do you progress like i saw that it had more side story like u said which includes iris,shop keeper/potion girl, etc.
is it through even test mode? I am really confused on how to progress because i only have repeatable quest and i have no idea how to become a 2 star adventurer to hire a follower

You need 50 Fame to be a Rank 2 Adventurer, if you can't rank up, is a bug, fixed with Patch A. All this info is in the "Info&Patches" section.
After that you can interact with PM and Yarizo and other followers.

VX ACE technically has more story content. But the current one has a bunch of scenes and no real story.
Idk if there are any mods worth recommending, I know there's like a Chinese one but it's all in Chinese, so if you can read Chinese have at it.
It has been in the process of being updated since 2019, and it has yet to be released as the official version.
