This is the dumbest thing I've heard all day and I say that after spending a whole day with your mother.
Games on steam earn 10 times what I get on Patreon and if my game was on Steam I'd be currently on a yacht on bermudas with my team. Steam doesn't show the revenue and because people can't see it they cannot be enraged about it. People like you are the reason why so many big developers hide their revenue on Patreon.
Let me pick a random nsfw recently released game on steam. Let's go with Aurelia. They released just 5 days ago and have 290 reviews.

Plugging in the price and review count into the calculator we get 30k. I've talked to many devs who are on steam and according to them this calculator underestimates for nsfw games(Less people leave reviews) by a factor of 5-10. Let's take the lower number.
That's still 150k$ in 5 days.
If you think we seriously failed to get on steam purposely to get money on Patreon after seeing this you are a delusional idiot.
On a serious note, I dislike the subscription model too. It is inherently predatory on the fact that people forget about subscriptions. Unfortunately currently this is what we have to go with to pay the bills. We already have plans for future games and those will be focused on getting on steam. Patreon only seems so good, because you have no comparison and no knowledge about how any of this works.
It's okay. You can play it early. Just don't come to our discord and ask for help about the game you pirated or I will crush your balls.
