There seems to be a group of twats on the approval board for steam that really hate anime anything and whenever it's their turn they deny anything with a hint of sex in it if it's anime style citing "underage".

Which is pretty fucking rich seeing as they allowed Evenicle on there and it's WAY more fucked up than this, or the incest largely cgi or ai slop games that got shitcanned recently.

And Steam has AFAIK always been fine with games that have an off-site NSFW patch, even before they started officially hosting adult games. Nekopara Vol.1 is on Steam since 2014.

The latest debacle is not the start of the issue with payment processors though. This has been going on since before 2020. This is simply the first time they've been this brash with this platform. Steam has historically been given something of a pass.

Konoha and Nekopara are anime style though? If anything, a lot of the porn games that were on Steam up until recently were anime style. Steam has historically been fairly Hentai-friendly. What I don't remember it ever supporting is IRL porn games, with real people.

Not sure what you mean? Abandoned prefix is only applied when the developer doesn't communicate on their public channels for 3 months, or when 18 months without an update pass.
Last public communication from the dev was yesterday, last update was released 7 months ago.

Besides that, updates for this game take longer due to the art the devs are creating for each scene. If you go to their Patreon or itch.io page and look through the announcement of public builds, you'll notice that the major updates always take the better part of a year to be finished.

If you want more detailed progress reports, you'll have to check the developer's Patreon account.

I asked why there wasn't any update for 7 months, not why it wasn't marked abandoned after 7 months. Thanks for the info, thought it was dead.

Hey, I remember this game! :D... I always end up abandoning it. I start with the mindset that I'm going to finish it once and for all, but every time an update comes out, I have the urge to delete the save from the previous version and lose all my progress so I don't miss any of the update's content. Then I get too lazy to start from scratch, so I abandon it.

That's happened about 3 or 4 times, so I said to myself, "Okay, I'll just wait for them to stop updating it and then I'll play without problems."....... It's been like 3 years and I'm still waiting. I never thought it was possible to get mad at a developer for constantly updating their game ._.

tbh updates are slow and the only endings yet in the game are the bad ones.

No. Only the bot has sex scenes. I don't think anything of the sort is planned with Shanice either - the only side character who was given as an option in previous polls was the clothing shop clerk, and that option didn't win.
