If you rename it, and modify whatever the "grey areas" were you can actually re-submit it, despite what it says D=

It is actually, like, there is a meme about the person in charge that day on Steam offices deciding what gets ban and what not base on personal preferences, like the Judge Dredd but more bias.where do they even see a minor in the game
it seems so random with their decisions regarding NSFW games as if they just flip a coin
MIST got shot down for the same thing
it's so annoying to see such great games get shot down for nothing while there's a whole sea of crap already present
I only can guess is due the edgy jokes and the politics mocking, but still, there are games in Steam with way worse content and that are even ban here due to the... minor content... and they don't even blink an eye on them. With enough pressure you can get the game on Steam, I have seen games being published due to people talking about it and calling out Steam, either way, try to don't let this get you down. You must be registered to see the links

This is just so strange, how can you look at the character and think she's a minor? Is it because she has an almost naive view of the world seeing as how she was booted up recently? You must be registered to see the links

Fuck man that's sucks, I'm really sorry to hear that. I didn't even realize Elf Girl Pinball was on Steam, that's crazy. My initial thought was "What about Nekopara? Or Imperial Gatekeeper?" Maybe you could get away with a patched version. I mean surely it's worth looking into, right? You must be registered to see the links

I think there also can't be any mention of an NSFW patch on the store page in the description.I think alot of products are made SFW and then have a separate NSFW patch, since steam doesn't care about additional patches
like Judge Dredd but hornylike the Judge Dredd but more bias
Incontinent Cell this is actually not a bad idea, a lot of Japanese eroges with a ton of inappropriate content get to Steam like this, even after being rejected without a second chance. You can try, people is used to get the NSFW patch outside of Steam anyway. If you rename it, and modify whatever the "grey areas" were you can actually re-submit it, despite what it says D=
This exact same thing happened to Under the Witch (which is now on steam as Heroes Journy)

rip steam bending the knee to sensitive cry babys and not allowing good thought provoking products on the platform
there's literally loli hentai on SteamView attachment 2345209
Lemme play Devil's Advocate: Steam is right. You have to understand and process the situation from a business perspective, if you don't take precautions, especially when dealing with such a sensitive matter, even a big company like Steam is going to get in serious troubles, they have to do it. Why would they risk losing a contract with a big publisher or an important financial institute for the sake of some small indie devs? I've personally seen it many times, "children images" being used as a weapon, by third parties, to hurt and destroy all sorts of legit projects on the internet. Why? Money, politics, you name it, and Steam is not immune to those kind of risks. It's scumbag censorship but c'est la vie. The real problem is their criteria (or lack of it) to define what's "problematic" or not and competent employees to remove the real deal.
The good thing is, I've never heard about his project before, but thanks to the news, many people like me got interested and are going to download, play and support the game. Free marketing for the devs. And besides, the project can still go back to the platform like mentioned by Evizzy89
The dev provided a fitting example in the twitter thread, that being Elf Girl Pinballexamples?
