The way WT mods are typically put together, there's no downside to using them (other than possible minor spoilers from choice description text). The highlighted choices represent the most optimal for RP/corruption/whatever metric gains/losses and let you witness all available scenes. Some WT mods also include "fixes or improvements", which most commonly present as a choice in the vanilla game between two mutually exclusive (missable) scenes, and the mod will add a 3rd choice which allows you to see both scenes in a single playthrough. Sisterly Lust mod comes to mind as an example that incorporates several "watch both" options.

Afaik I haven't encountered a circumstance where playing w/o a mod granted any tangible additional scenes, benefits, or content over using one, so don't hesitate to use one if it seems useful to a given game.

After all it is obvious and logical that if it is "walkthrough mod" it also needs to be updated when any game is updated to a newer version beacuse this is not some cheat mod which can be universal for any version of the game if the dev does not change the coding but "walkthrough" mod ( remember this magical word when you check such mod ;) ) which means that it's the kind of mod that highlights the right choices in the game or tells you what to do next in the game so it should be logical for everyone that if dev updates a game it always needs updating mod in the same way because otherwise you will not see the new content added in the game or the changes that the newer version adds.

Because I played it with the outdated mod and guess what? It worked up until the new content and didn't break my game.

It did exactly what I wanted it to.

Good for you :) but if you would compare for example the file "chapfive.rpy" from the previous mod and this file from the new one, you would notice that the new one has more lines of code, so something has probably been changed or added in chapter 5 since the previous update.
That is why I always prefer to wait for a new version of the mod updated to the current version of the game in order not to miss something or have a problem due to some errors.

My unofficial Android port of Oath of Loyalty 0.6 Compressed with ShaddyModda 's Cheats + IAmAB 's walkthrough mod+ Sir Leon 's Gallery Mod , also gestures enabled.

From now on , All my ports will have 2nd Persistent Save storage location which means saves won't get deleted when you uninstall them. Select "Allow" permissions at the beginning of the game, to grant the permission to read and write save data on external storage.

2nd save storage location - android/data/RenPy

My ports now also contain textbox opacity slider and Text size sliders. Go to preferences to change them as per your wish.

IAmAB Minor error in names in chapfour.rpy vs actual relationship point changes. Donna in office, if select "Yes please!" mod shows "Donna +1/Julia -4" but it's actually Jane that gets -4. Code error in current download is as follows (line 1075):
