How do i get pass "the demons of the head consumed him" to clear his mind.

the objective was to go to the first floor and take a look around.

but i just keep failing

When you go down the stairs, a demon pops out his head from the main hallway. Immediately get back up the stairs. At the top, turn around and head for the door at the far end. In blood the word "Escape" should be scrawled on the door.
In the bedroom, head to the window with the activity marker on it.
