from now on my Android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like Windows. if you uninstall the app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore it needs the permission to access the public external storage (or a new one on Android 11+), because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.

for example i romanced ash in the previous one ,so if try to romance someone else here, will it count as cheating on ash ? Don't want to hurt her feelings

I kind of fell in love with Occultus DOD, I just wish the game lasted longer, I could have played that one for weeks even months, It had a really great plot/story and some awesome characters, Malody is among my best female MC's. Can't wait to see how this one turns out. this is just my personal opinion but i hope this game is a lot longer than DOD.

Catching some spelling errors, 'remoseless' rather than remorseless, 'deminishes' rather than diminishes.

Mal looks pretty different, but I can't place what it is exactly. Never mind, there's a scene that covers it.

Kind of was hoping for a hornier Mal. Maybe next chapter.

The first Occultus was ok. Certainly better than Sinful Vampires and Left Hand Magic and whatever else, even if it annoyed me at times.
Good to see the foreshadowed sequel here, I'll wait for a few more updates before trying it.

I want that event told retroactively over the course of the game as one of the main mysteries, it'll all make sense eventually.

Yes and no. There will be chances to reiterate choices from the previous game when they become relevant, for example in chapter 3 I am planning a scene where Mal discusses their partner from the first game and why they've become estranged. It's not cheating right now. Perhaps after old characters return that might change?

Now that I have played it:

Big changes for Malady with her new vampirism and specially Velvet now that she's been made regent if nothing changes between them, I could see them become not sure if enemies is the word but certainly things are not looking good for their relationship.
It was also good to see characters from the old DoD reappear and see how things have changed in these years, also nice surprise with Cerys in the end, gonna be interesting to see how Malady will deal with her this time.


Overall, I enjoyed the story and can't wait for more.
