What a silly question. It's Ash. Everyone picked Ash. What kind of monster would you have to be to not pick Ash?
Nice update. Sad that you couldn't stop Mal from killing. Was heartbreaking that no matter what you did, she couldn't resist. Like something else was pushing her and she had no control. Makes you even more curious about her sire now if it is having that kind of effect. But besides that, everything else was interesting. A lot of set up mostly, so hopefully next update we get to put the plan into action. Can't wait for that confrontation.

Sorry dude but Ash just grated me. Trinny all the way!
However curious....iirc you could end the first still as Velvet's ghoul...very curious how we got turned in that instance as she my second save. Might have to replay again to confirm that.
I'm just now playing the second part because I hadn't seen that the story had continued so I forgot about almost all the characters and I have to choose the protagonist's love interest... so is it possible to have a look for each character of the choice ?

If you like that kind of girl
XD That little shit tricked me, finally thinks I'm the dominatrix and I find myself chained to a bed.. you don't play with other people's feelings like that
I really like part 1, allthough I have no interest in vampires, I was done with that years before this started. Having my cute heroine become a vampire wasn't my cup of tea, and she even lookes kind of worse now. Sad. The story could still be fine, so lets see what we get.

Well I like both her looks, I think her current one fits better what she is right now, that being said I believe he said there would be an option to revert her later on.

It's a little disappointing that it: a) happened off-screen, b) was forced upon her, c) we won't get a hot scene of Ash turning her into a vampire. The last story had a satisfying ending so I think the dev can make this work even if it's not what I wanted.
I really do hope that the story goes deeper into Malady's head and how she feels about becoming a vampire against her will. So many stories brush that aspect aside and the character feels no different as a vampire than as a human.
Another issue is the breakup of the previous story's LI. I really hate that trope where a story will end with two characters getting together only for the next one to start with them apart because of some off-screen BS drama. I could understand the MC wanting some time alone to process becoming a vampire but since most of them are vampires that doesn't make much sense. A LI isn't just someone you have sex with, it's someone that can help you through a difficult time. I hope there's a good payoff, but my expectations are low.

1. It will be told in a flashback in an upcoming chapter.
2. Probably not too spoilery as it should be pretty obvious at this point but spoilered anyway just in case:
You might hate that trope, but the sheer amount of extra work that goes into showing absolutely everything and then factoring in every single choice for all content going forward is untenable. Especially when you can turn that lack of information into a mystery like I am attempting to do.
I hope you stick with the story, as i think the flashback chapter will answer your questions.
Yeah, we all stick with the story, because that's the strong point.
I personally like the detective stuff way more than the vampire stuff, I liked the romance between the main character and Ash in the last one too, and it's a hard sell those break up because of the vampire turn. This doesn't work out all that well since I won't be the only one who can't imagine this would happen.
Anyway, I'm here to see how this will develope, but I'm honest enough to say there is some baggage here

There are many possibles endings in DoD even with the Ash one I would wait until we have a full explanation here of everything that transpired before judging it.

I do intend to stick with it, after all, I did like how DoD played out and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm just cautiously concerned about how that one specific point will play out. As long as the reason isn't something that can be solved with a 10 minute conversation, I'll be happy. I'm more interested in seeing how Malady handles being a vamp and how much control we have at her embracing it or maintaining her humanity.
Since turning Malady into a vampire by the player's choice isn't possible, I wonder if we'll be able to turn someone else into a vampire. Trinity is the only pure human LI so she's a good option if you choose to go down that path. I just like it when vampire games let the vampire act as a vampire instead of just act as a human with a few added quirks.
I am curious if/when the characters from the first Occultus will ever make an appearance.
