Dude they just released a Patreon build a week ago before this, what extra content would they be able to add in that amount of time? all the stuff they shown, the nuzzle enemy, the new areas was confirmed for act 2, and are probably working out the kinks for it as we speak
Yea, yea and put the "v1.0" in title just for steam release.... YOU JUST KNOW HOW MUCH THERE SHOULD BE IN V1? There must bge not only new enemies and loc, but also new boss or multiple bosses! NOT JUST ONE FRICKIN NPC, SOUNDS FOR HEALTH BAR AND BUG FIXING! If they decided to put game on steam then why frog called act v1?! Or at least finish fully game (and fact that act 2 IS DLC FRICKING STIERSHIT)

There is some grievances I have with the game as a whole, and while calling this "V1" is a stretch, following the development of the game has given me a good expectation of what this update was going to be once it was announced. Like mentioned already, there was only a week-long period between the previous Patreon build and Steam release. There was never going to be a large content drop, as most content already being worked on was confirmed for Act 2.

And I don't believe I've been scammed at all. The game itself still needs work as a game, but the content within is still something I enjoy, and why I've supported for so long. If you and the other user who is acting out are not satisfied with the current product, then there is no reason to keep following their updates or the thread.

I still bought it, even though i regularly "test" new builds thanks to thee. Because i wanted support the dev, and hey, at least it's somewhat finished product actually after all those years, even though at one point they abandoned it for a year. Although i agree that they spent too much time on NPC's, instead of main gameplay stuff (like making progress in story, adding new levels, enemies and stuff). And also Bates took them a whole year to do, which doesn't really make sense to me, why?

Animation, coding, implementing that coding, bug testing and fixing, real world problems, etc, etc, there’s a bunch of things that could explain why it took so long. I’m not a game designer or artist or animator so I wouldn’t know the struggles and whatnot by I can believe something like this, did take so long to get where it is now.

I'm gonna pinch in my two cents here.

I feel like the game started out quite ambitiously, with the original roadmap and whatnot. Seeing this Act 1 drop like that, feels like they might be... giving up on the original plan, and simply deciding to just... settle for Bates as the final boss for Act 1, despite the fact, from what I remember, that Bates was originally supposed to be a mini boss within the game. Whatever the case, I feel like the Steam Release is not even remotely close to what the game should've been in its original official release. I can only hope they might decide to split the original roadmap into acts, if that's the model they want to pursue, but to simply stop at Bates, and then likely only having a smaller Act 2, would be a bitter pill to swallow. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I feel like that's where things are headed.

I can understand some of you guys are really frustrated but... As for someone that has been following this game since it ever got the very first version when there were only 2 enemies - This game got a long way, but their pace got too slowed down because their scope was too big, and they made too many promises.
But I know that making a game takes a hell out of someone's time. You can make a simple game in 3 years, but most of good indie games take almost a decade, especially with a few people working on it, and having little experience.
I think their biggest flaw was promising too much form the beginning (having bear, wolf and rat enemies, voyeur state, more charm moves for Joe, Farmland area and collectible dildos have been promised around 2019), and since they have changed much stuff to fit Patreon and had to change the base engine (because it was fucking everyone's PC RAM memory) they lost pace and it's now the terrible state we're seeing.
I'm just playing other stuff while waiting, and I don't wanna depend on them to have a good porn game.

My cope is that at least this didn't join the pile of abandonware that's here on F95. Scope creep happens, plans change, and the devs did the best they could to put out what's in my opinion, a pretty playable product.

It seems like the bare minimum, but I've seen so many projects roll in with all the hype in the world but couldn't even muster up 1/10th of that minimum. Bitch and moan however you feel, but at least we got SOMETHING. And potentially more on the way with whatever they have planned down the road.

I blame personaly bates. Those guys basicaly invested years of dev time in to one boss trying to make it super duper, result just a good boss with some anoying mechanics(because gameplay mechanics were not made to carry such complex fight), which is commpared to time and resources invested downgrades him from good to just meh.

So now they spend 2 years doing fuck all(or it feels like that since its just BATES/LEWDTOWN/NPC nonstop), and cant motivate themselves to old rhytm with a plan, and just throwing random characters and upgrades without a system or tyming.

Bitch and moan however you feel, but at least we got SOMETHING. And potentially more on the way with whatever they have planned down the road.
Point is not that they did n othing, or there is no devs INFINETLY worse than them(FF, doggy bones, jason, feck the hack, list goes on). Point is that the game is solid, people give them suitable amount of money to continue to working on it comfortably, and end result instead of progressing forward development is progressing to the left, then to the right and then jump in the nearest gutter. Gutter i guess is better than a dumpster near crackden where usualy western ero game projects end up, but still.

Glad the devs managed to finish Act 1. Fuckton of content they added, hope the Steam release blows up. I know I'll buy it lol.

Pretty weird how some of you guys are behaving in this thread, typing in all caps like a kid throwing a temper tantrum.
frr, i've been checking in on this game once every few months since like 2020 or something and they've added ALOTT

getting so mad about a gay furry porn game update not having "enough" content is crazy lmfao, those people really need to outside and get some sun

In the Patreon post for v0.21.000, it said "we are changing the version naming convention to accelerate the numbering and work towards using "v1.00" for the official Act 1 release". Version 0.24 was essentially Version 0.99. The team shared all of its progress with patrons the entire time, because that's what they paid for, obviously. There wasn't anything being held back or kept secret for the Act 1 release.

Aren’t you guys are being just a bit too critical? for one, the last Patreon build and this public release was a week apart, what extra content would they be able to add in that amount of time? Not only that but this public release was for all the people who aren’t patrons to the devs and the only experience with the game they have had are from the last public release, which was forever ago.
They're tweaking out like this is a football game or sumn. It is NOT that serious. Screenshot_20250531-222528.TikTok.png

I've finally uploaded Bates' gallery animations and game over animations to the . Aside from the updated animations for Kaylee and Myriad, which I'll grab next time the dev/test controls are enabled.

Looking at the aforementioned game over animations, it's a bit interesting to see how they've changed from the versions previously shown in dev previews.

I actually preferred the more angry looking Bates, he looks kind of derp now. Feel like he was going to original be more aggressive but they moved away from the rape vibes for steam version

Its basicaly with every single hentai game that has patreon, starts with rape, mind-control, corruption etc, gets smallest peace of popularity and someone instantly runs to patreon admins crying "wolves", and everything gets switched to consensual handholding. Steam greenlight is more of a random on this subject, there are plenty ero games with "forced" sex that is being soled on it.
