The "Important Clarification" post, starts like this:
"Hey guys, Red here. A couple of days ago, I was harassed by an adamant furry who discovered one of the characters I had planned to include down the line was a girl and was not too happy about its eventual inclusion. Despite the exhausting and overall depressing exchange, it has come to my attention that there is something important that I need to clarify."
And later follows up with:
"There were always meant to be female characters in the world of Oh So Hero. That fact has always been true from the very start. I admittedly did a really poor job in setting the groundwork for that in the world building from the get go in my pursuit to deliver on the next enemy or the next poll NPC."
So I'm not sure where you got the "straight/bis bitching" part, but i sure sounds like it was the gays bitching about inclusion of female characters here, despite the game already having plenty of male/male content that caters to them.
You are, however, right about the latter part. I was not too happy about the change of plot myself, the alien invasion was just so much better and I have no idea why they went with such a crappy generic "win a billion dollars lol" tournament plot.

Been following the project since its inception, with the earliest announcement trailer that had nothing but gay content flooding its every pore and not so much as an inclination of any female, including the Trello that was being updated at that point. But yes, of course some random nobody who popped in just to cry for Bates to be done in the last year would take a dev's rambling post 3 years into the project at face value. The Patreon comments were increasingly asking for futa characters first and foremost and were met with "no plans" replies, after which the roadmap started including even a mention of female or futa character about 2 years into development. So yes, some patrons bitched about the lack of female or futa content after which the devs caved in and claimed it was "always planned" to avoid alienating them, when the whole game took a directional overhaul and popped a random Kaylee into the game, then UNDERSTANDABLY met resistance from a heavily gay-dominant audience. Like, do you really need a fucking rocket science degree to understand this? Then again it is a porn forum, so nevermind.

I just hope we get a bear enemy or a wolf enemy in the future. I like the bigger enemies for reasons...

Totally agreed, like what they did was totally harmless, no need for the non-bi/straight people to blow up like that, but it seems like this game is going downhill for totally different reasons. It is his game first and foremost so his supporters need to understand that. You are supporting him not commissioning him.
Patreon is not a pay and get what you want platform it is a DONATE and crowd fund platform.

Put that into File Explorer's address bar
Alternatively, type %appdata% into FE's address bar, and it will take you to the Roaming subfolder, and you should be able to go up one folder level by clicking either in the address bar where it says AppData, or by clicking the arrow pointing up next to the arrows for forward and back. Then you should see folders for Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. Click LocalLow and then find the folder called Full Frontal Frog, which if that one isn't there then you'll need to run the game at least once.
