The seagulls are cute as hell. I really like the BG character designs and have been trying to spot them all. Hope more gets done with them.I've finished with the animations. As mentioned, I will get around to Bates at a later time. I've already gotten most of his animations, they still need to be converted to GIFs or otherwise prepped for such. I will try to get them ready soon.
With how much time has passed, I will repost the MEGA link again. It has not changed since last time, and can be found here. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
EDIT: Not going to triple post, but I did some digging and on-the-spot learning to mess with some files, and ran into some things. I used this already for Myriad's animations, which you can find at the MEGA folder, but I found some other NPCs and figured out how to load the background characters into the gallery. I might add these BG characters, but they will likely go to another sub-folder. They're mostly static images with nothing else associated with them, afterall.

That's 1.0? The game ends with Bates?looks like 1.0 ships out later today, joyous day.
do i know if i can see the cutscene with bates again? It's been a long time coming, here's v1.0 of Oh So Hero! (Congratulations to the dev team on v1.0 and a Steam release!)
I will continue to work on getting the animations out into the MEGA folder. I'll try to get the updated animations for Kaylee and Myriad at a later time. In the meantime, enjoy the update... It's both surprisingly, and unsurprisingly scarce given the timing between the previous version and v1.0.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I've attached a new save and gallery file as well.
From the loois of it, yes. They added 1 thing so that they can call it an update, and put the 1.0 on it to be able to put it on steam as a full release rather than an unfinished 0.X game.I wanna make sure I'm not misunderstanding this, the difference between the last Patreon update and this big reveal of the six year in the making 1.0 release. Is that they added a new NPC?
so the classic tactic then...From the loois of it, yes. They added 1 thing so that they can call it an update, and put the 1.0 on it to be able to put it on steam as a full release rather than an unfinished 0.X game.
Bro. You understand that they wanted to release it on steam and update gonna be probably big if that for steam release an in the end they adding just 1 NPC AND NOTHING NEW BOUT ENEMIES OR LOCATION! ALSO FROG IS SAYING ON ITCH THAT ACT 2 IS GONNA BE FREAKIN DLC!Aren’t you guys are being just a bit too critical? for one, the last Patreon build and this public release was a week apart, what extra content would they be able to add in that amount of time? Not only that but this public release was for all the people who aren’t patrons to the devs and the only experience with the game they have had are from the last public release, which was forever ago.
Yea, yea and put the "v1.0" in title just for steam release.... YOU JUST KNOW HOW MUCH THERE SHOULD BE IN V1? There must bge not only new enemies and loc, but also new boss or multiple bosses! NOT JUST ONE FRICKIN NPC, SOUNDS FOR HEALTH BAR AND BUG FIXING! If they decided to put game on steam then why frog called act v1?! Or at least finish fully game (and fact that act 2 IS DLC FRICKING STIERSHIT)Dude they just released a Patreon build a week ago before this, what extra content would they be able to add in that amount of time? all the stuff they shown, the nuzzle enemy, the new areas was confirmed for act 2, and are probably working out the kinks for it as we speak
I still bought it, even though i regularly "test" new builds thanks to thee. Because i wanted support the dev, and hey, at least it's somewhat finished product actually after all those years, even though at one point they abandoned it for a year. Although i agree that they spent too much time on NPC's, instead of main gameplay stuff (like making progress in story, adding new levels, enemies and stuff). And also Bates took them a whole year to do, which doesn't really make sense to me, why? There is some grievances I have with the game as a whole, and while calling this "V1" is a stretch, following the development of the game has given me a good expectation of what this update was going to be once it was announced. Like mentioned already, there was only a week-long period between the previous Patreon build and Steam release. There was never going to be a large content drop, as most content already being worked on was confirmed for Act 2.
And I don't believe I've been scammed at all. The game itself still needs work as a game, but the content within is still something I enjoy, and why I've supported for so long. If you and the other user who is acting out are not satisfied with the current product, then there is no reason to keep following their updates or the thread.
