Where has I, and I believe a bunch of others, really enjoy it when the girls are also involved with each other. Love doesn't subtract, multiplies, or something...

Also, it creates a different power dynamic, one where the MC is part of the whole, instead of being isolated in a leader position. It also means that there's no need for complicated sleep schedules, everyone sleeps with everyone, fucks or not whomever they want.

Instead of your proposed Master/Servants setting is a fully immersed experience of equality. I do really prefer this.

Even if I wasn't a massive fan of Lesbian sex, I am, this is a much better experience and much more rewarding for everyone.

Devs really don't like sticking to pure harem when it comes to "Harem games" with Male Protags. When people are thinking of playing a Male Protag harem game, they are thinking about straight content, not LGBTQ+ content. Imagine if a Female Protag Lesbian Harem game inserted men or a straight couple to ruin the dynamic for those audiences. They basically feel the same way. Heck I've seen people hate when a lesbian game inserts Futa content. Not every tag is gonna work together.

The people who always point to lesbian porn being popular among men has always been brought up in these conversations in other threads. The thing that people fail to realize is that its a fetish, they don't think about whether the girls are actually lesbian or not when watching porn. For some it may be hotter if straight girls go at it. It's something that people choose to watch when they feel like it.

When it comes to AVNs, people are meant to be invested in the characters and the story along with the scenes. When someone plays a harem game with a Male Protag they're expecting to be able to get with all of the LIs in the game. When a dev turns one of the girls lesbian, this is essentially the dev taking away an LI for no reason other than to set up lesbian content. Realistically there's no way the MC would get scenes with a lesbian, other than if it's in a threesome, but then there would be no attachment between the two, he'd just be a walking dildo in that scenario. Which is a turn off. Also a lot of those games end up make the lesbian content the focus and the MC becomes sidelined which is even more annoying.

But devs decide it should be realistic, and add in girl-on-girl moments (which is not the problem for me, hear me out), others go a step further and make the girls into each romantically, which is the problem for me, cause then it ceases to be a harem, but a whole separate genre, Poly, which is basically sharing within the group. Which, like lesbian, is something that people have to be in the mood for, not be jumped by that type of content in a game that is advertised as one thing but you get another you weren't told it would have, out of nowhere.

I read Manhwa, and most happen to be harem. Sometimes there is group sex involved and all of the girls like the MC in those, sometimes there are moments between the girls but it never feels like the girls will fall in love with each other, it's just them trying to get a rise out of the MC.

In regard to the fun and satisfaction of one night stands through the chemistry shared between two people, they tend not to last long because the thrill of the chase is gone. I don't see how that can be compared to content involving bi partners since they last longer than just one night and involve more attention paid to the women.

Personally, I see no problem with lesbian content in male protag harem vn's and I'd rather have the option there than not at all. I know some people dislike that idea but to cater to a wider audience that's the best way to go. The reason for that is because say that someone released a VN where you had to put even more effort into obtaining the girl and keeping her happy for her to be part of your harem. When you reach a certain number of girls that ends up becoming a tedious amount of effort and at least with them keeping each other entertained you have no worries about them looking for other men to provide them with more attention than you the MC is giving them.

Yeah to be fair to have it but avoidable, but my problem is in most cases it's extra work for the dev to do multiple render and animations with and without. Also a lot of the time devs with do lesbian scenes in 3somes and don't do an alternative scene for none lesbian/bi content and like i said before usually by the end or towards the end of a vn that's all thats left is 3somes, 4somes and so on and sure you can avoid it but the player that does not like lesbian/bi sex misses out. or if we're lucky enough to get a dev that's willing to go that extra mile and make an alternative then it's just double work and takes way longer to finish making the game.

Man this update was mostly pointless...barbeque and a cosplay event with Aurelia (if she isn't a LI that be disappointing, she is easily among the top 3 girls, after Clara and Isabella).
The relationship development with the LI's is glacial to a point that it feels close to nonexistent. The story seems all over the place, with the school club, virtual reality, superpowers, the father of the bitch LI, the shenanigans of the uncle, some other hidden plot at college involving Lucia, martian diplomacy/conspiracy, some foreshadowing about a lunar powerplay/conspiracy and now somehow the italian mafia which is after a girl, a LI if i had to guess (or looks like the mafia)...
