To be fair, she adviced him to use Paypal in the end... doesn't look it's supported in his country either

She might be crazy, I think Omi is publishing his works 1 week after release on Rule34 (if it’s not published already), and she’s saying it’s illegal to pirate and it’s only for subscribers… If it would be only for subscribers and not out in public, nobody would ever know Omi anyway… Most of his subscribers first saw his works on rule34(Illegally, like melina says…). Without piracy Omi wouldn’t get any money from this, I’m 100% sure

He's kinda right, its like pirating games, if the Company doesnt provide the game in any platform/your country, you cant be charged for piracy since the Company is not being harmed(as long as you dont sell obviously, then it would be copyright), but that depend on the country you live and how much consumer friendly the laws are, that's why Nintendo gave up on lawsuits of their old games and is finally releasing them on Nintendo online

Newbie animators just don't understand that the whole reason why people give them money is solely because of faith in the promise that they will continue to make new content, and because they saw their pirated works leaked in sites like Rule34. Supporters are literally taking the most risk because they're the ones paying money to a total stranger.

These leaks can be a double-edged sword of course. In the negative side of things, it's demoralizing at first to the aforementioned newbie content creators, which can lead to decreased output or lower quality content creation. In the positive side of things, the tens of thousands, if not millions of people who will consume and share the pirated content can serve as free passive and long term advertising if the creators are smart about it. To balance profit loss from piracy and attract supporters, many experienced creators, even relatively new ones already acquainted with the way of this "industry", democratize and outsource a huge chunk of their creative decisions to their paying supporter base, as well as watermarking their works. Once the new content is released, some supporters will inevitably leak it, and those who come across it will notice the watermark, search it, and immediately find the creator's patreon/subscribestar/fanbox/etc.

Fighting against piracy is a losing battle for such a taboo "industry" like 3D porn. You WILL get pirated, and that's good for your business if you handle things right.

What's more annoying is when stupid fuck mods like this feel the need to shame (and sometimes punishing) others for simply consuming content that others posted. It's comes off as controlling, paranoid, toxic, weird, (which it is) and off putting.

There's 2 kinds of people. The ones that will pay, and the ones who will not. The amount of times I have found a creator, then subscribed to them because I found their work here for free, or elsewhere, is ever growing.

Maybe the fact the economy is so bad and a lot of ppl can't afford paying monthly for multi-creators of created characters porn! Very simple, ppl already pay for internet services so if they can get access to content for free, then why should they pay for it?! The growing piracy is the fault of internet providers, Patreon/Subscribestar/etc not doing enough to protect creators content, creators not enough taking seriously enough and taking measures to protect their content/last the customer itself not respecting the content creators. There are so many wrongs that haven't been fixed for a long time. Something that is not even tried enough by content creators, giving ppl more incentives so they commit less piracy!

this 100%, over 9000!
all creators can do (much like game companies) is make it more annoying to pirate, but you won't stop them or "force" them to ever pay. your best bet is to convince other people who are willing to pay.
