depends... the game deals with a lot of mental health issues, so if you don't like the more serious theme it probably will. But not bad as in the dev went in a completely off direction (at least yetI just started it. Is it gonna be a bad surprise?

So far i find the narrative refreshing. But i must say for now On Distant Shores is kinda involuntary comical. MC is like "oh, i'm so depressed, self-isolated, possibly suicidal, that i get insta-horny for every breathing female human behing i see around". My main issue is that they set up a huge emotional conflict and then completely gave up on it with the ending. There was no conclusion of storylines or epilogues at all. He killed the entire story in the space of like two paragraphs.I just started it. Is it gonna be a bad surprise?

No epiloges? That's honestly bad. Let's hope with this new project the dev skills matured.

Dev tends to really work the mental angle. This one is interesting, just doesn't hold my attention. I am more looking forward to his/her other AVNLove and Jealousy. It is more appealing.

Yeah, his first was a total mess really from start to finish.
I tried this and it was....ok...at best. I removed it from my watch list but after playing L&J it is obvious the guy can actually write, so will give this another chance for a couple more updates and see where it goes.

I actually liked the beginning of the first then that train went off the tracks never saw the end. This one not much into kids being leads in AVNs.
Same here, On distant shores started out very well, got bit lost where all the girls want to bang him, then didn't know how to end it.

On Distant Shores is one of my favorite all-time VNs. I really do not understand the hate for it. If you are taking the role of the MC, how it ended was totally appropriate. If you have not played it, do so. Ignore the haters and go with the dev's concept. It might blow your mind as it did mine.
