Ah man I just finished my rotation in addiction psychiatry literally the day this came out on Patreon so it was nice to see the stuff about SSRI's et al.

Good update but the pacing felt a little weird with the car accident. I think it was an interesting thing to address because addicts in real physical pain are uniquely in a shitty situation so it was interesting to see MC faced with that and having to refuse opiates but the whole thing sort of interrupted the flow of things with Audrey etc only to then be pretty much glossed over with a 1week FF.

With so many people going through recovery at the same time I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. It seems like Sam is going to be the one to not get clean and/or make it through but I still get bad feeling s about Mellissa and Mary. Eating disorders are a fucking bitch and while my experience in medicine so far is pretty limited I've never seen someone with a drug addiction and an eating disorder get better because as soon as they try to quit and start to gain weight they go right back to using (same with smokers). And yeah just like the game pointed out alcoholics are in many ways more treatment resistant than drug addicts so I have my fingers crossed for Mellissa but who knows.

On a positive note lol the render quality seemed a lot better this update- very impressed!

To this day she has never gone back to doing that. I'm guessing you're looking for this game to end in a bunch of calamities, but that's not going to happen. Read the overview again. There is still plenty of shit that's gonna go down and some of it bad. But, I'm not sure you're gonna get what I think you're looking for. Then again idk what your looking for. Maybe I should just hand the script over to the thread and have you guys write it. Then see how it turns out. It seems some think they know better how it should go! Lol!

This! Praise whatever you worship, someone got it! ...and detox don't happen in a day under normal circumstances. So hence the week skip. I wanted to show the real love these people have for each other in this update. Sex would have cheapened that. It would have been sex for the sake of porn. How was he gonna bang Audrey while detoxing?

Hi Zoey Raven might just be me but I find the line 3621 in the conversation with Kayla odd : "It was stupid and it could have killed me,{w} but it's given me a new respect to be alive, and for those I would have left behind."
I think maybe this is better:
"It was stupid and it could have killed me,{w} but it's given me a new appreciation for life, and for those I would have left behind."
"respect to be alive" just doesn't seem to work, at least for me. I hate commenting on language use as I know I suck at it myself but thought I'd mentioned it anyhow.

I really love the game I was wary of a game involving Junkies and I will never play the Junkie path but it hooked me. My remaining wariness is eased considerably by you saying its not going to end in a bunch of calamities. I'm really enjoying the story so thanks for the work you do.

It was more like: character arcs advancing with Barb Kayla Mary Audrey - pause MC has crash - oh interesting MC will have to deal with detox while also dealing with bruised ribs - nvm FF through probably the hardest week MC will ever have to deal with. That's a little jarring no? The only character that got much development this update was Lydia

And come on dawg ofc I like the game I've been a patron for almost a year it's pretty minor criticism of one update, relax. Lydia OD'd and MC got arrested and was in a car accident you think its outlandish to speculate what bad things might happen to other characters? I mean the MC also has a Junkie path why is it weird to think you might write some of the minor characters to fail to get clean also.

This update was supposed to focus on MC, Lydia and Mary. So I achieved my goal. It was also supposed to show just how much the people in MC'S life care about him, and his realization of that. I had no intention of advancing any relationship arcs. Other than with Rick as well. This update was about love. Guess I missed the mark on that for you. All the stuff you want will be back in the next update. I set it up at the end of this one. Plus as was said, he needed to detox. You would have written it differently. Idk, it made my proof reader emotional. So I guess not everything hits everyone the same way.

Mary nearly got raped. Mary lost her mind on a coke bender. Melissa got drunk and treated you like only a wet alcoholic can. Sam basically bullshitted you in the hospital. Lydia got her ass beat in Ch. 1, plus the other things you mentioned. Um... pretty much Audrey and Barb are the only two characters that haven't had heinous shit happen to them. TBH, what you are implying IMO is the equivalent of someone saying the game has no sex in it or something. It's got plenty of drama. Too much for some to even continue playing. Idk anymore. Guess you can't please everyone, and I'm not trying to. I just find what you're saying off base. I mean how interesting would it have been and how am I supposed to write dialogue of MC in so much pain he can't get up on his own and make that last a week? Nah, I have no qualms about the way I handled that. I get you wanting character arcs to advance etc, but not how I handled the detox. Nothing interesting happrns when you come off dope. It's just not narrative friendly material, and it just so happens to take a week.

This game is spectacular because it starts with the throbbing good feels bonds
of a couple who live it up with sex, drugs, lots of friends, some mischief and
wrong doings on the side to spice things up, all going somewhere we can all relate to.

There is a question for all and any gamers who watched alfie or that sex addiction fassbender movie or
the fassbender freud movie ... sexual throbbing action is a high to top any drug.

Could it not be a better addiction going full steam into sex
to counter all and any other afflictions?

The fact of already being into personal issued rehab would keep them from
fkking outside their circle ... how about sexual healing AAA sorta meetings?

Will the point come at some point where we have to decide and the previous "Fuck all" path will be dissolved and the paths for the different LI's will split up?

This is just the start of their recovery. Like MC says "they don't have the training wheels anymore" or something to that effect. Can't remember what I wrote off the top ofy head. I've got much more planned. There will be lot of obstacles as I told another person, and not everyone will get there at the same time, and others may have setbacks. That doesn't exclude MC either. Everything will be variable based from here on in terms of sobriety. All one path now, but not without the chance to screw up. I've go plenty I still want to explore. Recovery is hard.
