If you play and decide it's worth $3, I appreciate the support! If you can't use Paypal, the Steam version will release in January! And if nothing else, really help visibility.
Hey man ! Thanks a lot for the game, it's absolutly great !
I'd gladly give you 3$, but I don't want to give any cent to these bastard on Itch (and also give them all my personnal info, fuck them), and not motivated to be horny on main and have a steam version ^^' Is there any other way to get the game and support you ?

Not currently, but the game will release on Steam in January. And when purchasing a game on Steam, you can toggle "Mark game as Private" during the purchase phase, and it will be invisible to friends and on your profile. (can also right-click and change it to Private if it's already in your library)
Don't know if that's an acceptable solution, but those are the kind of the only real options right now.

Why are you mad at itch? Is it the de-indexing thing? That really isn't their fault. Payment processors rolled up with "hey, get rid of the horny stuff or we kill the entire website. No paypal. No credit/debit." Itch did all it could to keep things alive.

Hmmmm, I'll see, but not sure ^^' I'm trying to keep my account far from all nsfw content ^^ But I'll see.

About Itch, yes, it's of course the payment processors that pushed them, but I'm not sure they told them to do something this drastic. It really feels more like Itchdeciding to nuke everyone, and then maybe try to make things right. They didn'tgave any warning, justdelisted everything, saying "hey, don't worry, we'll make it better eventually".

In my opinion (which might very be wrong, to be honest, I don't know what happened exactly), they were pushed by the payment processors, yes, but then gladly killed all the NSFW content they had. I know quite a fewartist that lost half of their income suddenly, and had to reconsider their carrer as NSFW game devs.
So yeah, it's still a decent place to share games, and I'm using it a bit. But they won't get a cent from me. They clearly showed how much they care about their NSFW artist.

But hey, if that's a good platform for you, that's nice ^^it's just personnal opinion, and if it helps you get some money, it's a good thing.

I understand!

I think it's very telling that Steam was hit by the same thing at the same time, and Steam had to take a knee a bit too. Steam is a behemoth with a lot of staff and more money than god, and one of the few behemoths that seem to prioritize customer satisfaction. Even then, they removed some games, implemented new categories and checks in the game submission process, and have banned mature games from early access so any major change needs to be manually reviewed and approved by Steam (an approval process that now takes twice as long for mature games as inspectors comb it for 'unapproved' stuff the payment processors throw a hissy fit about)

Itch meanwhile is a staff of... like, 30 people. They can't manually examine each game, say yay or nay, and cross their fingers that the payment processors agree with the assessment. I think they came up with the best solution they could sooner than deleting all nsfw games from the site outright.

It SUCKS, you believe me, I know that. But I think it is the best itch could do, and it's the payment processors to blame entirely.

Meanwhile, I think I've navigated the censorship the best I can by having a free demo page that can stay visible and searchable, that can direct people to the un-searchable but still existing paid version page. I'll never know what that extra click between the customer and payment costs me, but it's the best I've got. I kind of hope other nsfw creators take the same approach and maybe they can get some of their traffic back.
