Ren'Py - Completed - One Pump Chump [v1.0.0] [TwistedScarlett]

This game is okay but clearly not what other reviews let it seem. The background story is extremely small. The game gets into a repetitive cycle very early (day go battle, night choose new sex scene). There are a dozen of girls with huge tits, but the only actual character you interact sexually with is the loli green-haired girl. Other than that it's a very boring and overdone turn-by-turn FF-like combat game which has no interest at all. However it has to be said that the art is very good. It's still very early, so time will tell. But for now, only invest time in this if you're into loli and boring turn-by-turn combat. The other reviews seem to be fans of the devs who don't know what actual good games they are missing.

Tatsumaki is hot and I like the grind to build up Hero too. I wish there was an endless way to grind, get all equipment/passives/helpers, constantly climb the hero rankings/farm rep for both factions, and some endgame content where I upgrade the city or whatever. At the moment the four areas just have a repeatable fight once you fully explore them giving like 60 currency per win, when I already get 850 daily from maxing out the income skilltree, it'd be nice if fighting income ramped up more aggressively to encourage going to new areas earlier, fighting tougher enemies, and investing into combat stuff earlier imo, because I'll just farm the first stage until my OP build is complete then go to new areas just to collect passives/skill points. Hero is a damn cultivator growing stronger by breathing, keeping a small army in his dantian (I have a shark, goblin, siren, and imp following up my attacks sometimes), and buying magical artifacts (I only got a 4% crit ring, but would love getting the option to buy a bunch more stuff). It'd be cool if interacting with Garou later in the story unlocked a martial arts skill tree

I'd like it if fully exploring a zone unlocked the option to select the event I want to trigger so I can mix-and-match passives or farm stat points. Or just unlock certain locations like the moth girl who sells artifacts or the fighting ring. The $2500 you get at the start of the game is a lot too, unless there are a lot of outfits/sex dungeon things planned

There's a lot of content because Hero and Tatsumaki start fucking early and often, there's basically no pussyfooting or focus splitting, they're already talking about what they'll do after retiring as heroes and shit, I could fully see a marriage ending in like 0.5. I like it this way, it's basically a romance route with some monster girl scenes here and there you can skip, at least for now. There's a villain monstergirl who explicitly wants to cuck Tatsumaki but it'll probably be fine

The game is fun, the characters are fun (Tatsumaki is great), and the art is fantastic. I'm not even sure what could be improved besides the game being more complete, and even that seems to be progressing quickly.

I thought it was really good! I just thought the scenes with the monster girls could be longer in general, they're usually one scene with some dialogue. It's two clicks and they're over. But the relationship with Tatsumaki is really good, I'm looking forward to more!

this is adorable tho the cutsens can be more spaded out as it feels like 5 secs between doing the explore and more tatumaki overall it is adorable and cant wait to see more there could be a bit more combat becuse it feels just thuked in there without much effect

It's a cute and wholesome game with great character interaction and fun fighting mechanics.
love the art and the dialogue and i also love the part where you can slowly see actual canon progressing along with the game as a backdrop.
I'm hoping it'll get even more fleshed out as it continues development and fulfils it's potential as a gem

A good story, well written with great art. I epsecially love the little after sex talks with tatsumaki, really fleshing out her character. I feel a bit weird having additional sex scenes with the monsters, but that is basically more praise for the central romance that i feel like im cheating whenever i do it.

I'll be honest, my expectations going into this were pretty low, but decided to give it a try based on the reviews and I'm glad I did.

Great art, fun mechanics and the pacing is good. What sets it apart from most other VN's though is the writing. It's excellent, simple as that. It makes it feel as natural as a game like this realistically could be, and actually makes you care about the story, which is something that's becoming increasingly rare for me as I play more VN's.

This one is a gem. Looking forward to future updates!

It's good. Shockingly good.
One thing that I tend to focus on in VNs, especially parody's, is dialogue, and this is up to snuff. Dialogue feels like what you want to it be, and a little more.
The combat is pretty good too, same with the leveling system. As this is a very early version I cannot speak much into choice variety and story paths, but it looks promising.

I really just cant get enough of Scarletts writing is amazing.
It is still in really early development and maybe it gets a bit easier to handle the lust bar the longer the game goes on, being even useful if you got the skills to use it as a factor for attacks but overall im really looking forward to see this one get updated!~

Glad to see someone make this type of game nowadays,very fun and lighthearted. The characters personalities and dialog are actually good and the art is GOATed.

t's good and I hope it's not aiI like it but I'm worried about the art. It's good I just hope it's not ai. I played the last game made by the dev and that was also pretty good but I have that same fear.

Waiting for next update, I've been thinking this gonna be a good novel visual, art it's so nice, gameplay it's like a mini games with mechanics as different novel visuals.
For now it's a potential good one.

whats there to say that i havent said before? im almost envious of how much of a genius this mf is, no character comes off as shallow or just a cheap excuse for a fuck toy, im almost angry about the people telling TS to tone down on the philosophy, cause for me thats the best part, how this mf lamost makes you forget its a porn game but here? here TS outdid themselves because there is only one heroine, all other ts games to some degree let you feeling a bit disconected from the main love interest, which both suck and was fine

it was fine because you had a chance to get a taste of the feelings of the other characters guilt free and it didnt make anything shy or awkward when exploring deeper into the other characters

but it also sucked because it diminished the emotional impact of the main love interest, here the romance is bordeline vanilla, i can fucking feel the sugar in my veins cause of how slow but deep the connection with the protagonist is, which is amazing cause i like this kind of wholesome aproach from someone with as high of a quality writing as TS, only weird thing would be that its a bit rushed but even that is explained in gameand quite well so not even that i can complain about

combat is decent, nothing out of this world but it aint boring either so im ok with it, i also like that TS is starting to experiment more with using the lewd elements to be meaningful in combat too (there was an attempt on UTU with that one upgrade that increased dmg based on affection but here its different) cause i think it could be further explored, wont hurt if its not, honestly its one of those games where even if its a porn game im here for the story, a guy once said that if youre playing a TS game for the story youre making yourself a disservice and i couldn't agree more, i really REALLY hope future updates focus even more on the relationship between the two protagonists cause its already wholesome af and from former games i know this dude could go even further than that

im also hyped cause TS being the writing genius mf he is always touches on complex or deep topics to truly develop the characters to a degree that is honestly even better than some big games and i already got a bunch of hints as to where the development of totally-not-tatsumaki is going and boy IM HYPED for it

there is one thing im editing after leaving the review cause its less a complain and somthing i know will probably get added later on but i feel like its missing some of the humor the other games had, i have no idea what the TS formula is but it consistently made chukle until my chest hurt in a lot of the more ridiculous moments, there was one like that in this game (the end of the kitsune fight) where i started laughing and realize thats a pice of their usual humor, i didnt realize i was missing it until i got some of it again after so much time
so yeah thats it for the edit

so yeah another TS masterpiece in development for me to look forward to, so far looking like this mf is about to drop even more fire so yeah

Fantastic CGs, fun little story. A lot of content for an early game. Seems to be regularly updated. Very in depth combat builds, though I am not going to lie, I cheated ASAP. Still, great fun with the One Punch setting. I am honestly shocked no one has done it before.

Honestly, a really good visual novel. Great art and story so far for what's there. The romance with Tatsumaki is quite nice as well. Speaking of, Tatsumaki feels in-character which is a big plus for me. I look forward to the full release!

Very high quality stuff, big fan of the style and the character writing. One small suggestion is maybe flesh out the story with some more non-lewd or at least non-sex moments inbetween so it feels slightly less like an interactive gallery.

I really enjoy this so far and looking forward to even more. Twisted never disappoints. If there is one nitpick its the face your stuck with a standard name but like I said it's a nitpick and it doesn't effect the overall score. Hearing the OPM ost has brought a lot of nostalgia for me (has it really been this long?).
