Trying to explore City 1 always sends me straight back to the apartment. Not even a menu popping up. Is that a bug or did I just overread some explanation?

I could recognize that artstyle everywhere.
The gameplay could use a bit more depth cause the animation feels very simplistic compared to the high quality CG's but that's a minor remark.
I can't for the life of me get into Tatsumaki with her voice actress cause I just keep hearing Tanya, but all the side content so to speak kept me busy. Good job!

Сan't start the game, the window with it closes immediately. I don't understand what the problem is, maybe it's something obvious, but I'm blind(

That's usually fixed by doing this:
  1. Hold down Shift while starting Ren'Py, or press Shift+G once Ren'Py has started.
  2. From the "Graphics Acceleration" menu that appears, choose a different renderer to use.
  3. Choose "Quit", then restart Ren'Py.

I vaguely remember reading a post informing users about the correct usage of version numbers but I forgot, most people still use 1.0 as a complete version and any number bellow that as a percentage, like 0.5 means 50%.
Quite a lot of devs use a format to indicate major releases. So, for example: a "v1.5.8" would mean "major release 1, minor release 5, patch 8" although every dev is different (some go beyond 3 numbers to indicate expansions or commit numbers too, while others use their own ideas for what to label each release...others simply use the date of the release). Usually though, v1.0 is "first commercial release" or "the main gameplay is complete," but some also do "v1.0 is first tech demo," etc.

Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately this method did not help. In one version, the effect remains the same, in the other, the game window does not appear at all, even for a second (

I was able to solve the problem with downloading the game by following this advice, maybe it will help someone else)

I was able to solve the problem by enabling UTF-8 as the system encoding in Windows 11 (Start -> Settings -> Time & Language -> Language & Region -> Administrative Language Settings -> Advanced tab -> check the box next to Beta version:Use Unicode (UTF-8) to support language worldwide.)
