Is there any open source game ? Finished projects or not.

I want to create arts for an existing game, so I can create 2D pictures without thinking about deadlines nor money.

I thought a lot about joining a team but I think I want first to create pictures for an existing projects and then see if I want ot join a team.

Is there any open-source project that you know about?

I don't really care about the engine ect

I think they just want to make art, not make a game.

The one game that I know of which somewhat fits your criteria would be Lilith's Throne.
But it's not true open source, it just has source code available.

I mean you can grab any renpy game from here and manually replace the pictures with your own if you want to.

I got kind of similar situation as 3Dbimbos, where I would like to spare some of my programming time on project without any promises nor declarations. I have look at https://f95zone.to/threads/open-source-games.85694/, but there is nothing in C#, Unity3D or Godot, which I'm interested in.
