Or some routes in The Misadventures of the Elven Paladin, if you can put up with the unusual central fetish in that game. Both are comedy instead of tragedy though, and are likely much lighter than what you're looking for.

As for what interested me, it's just my style. While I'm a fluffy bitch that likes love stories, I've never been opposed to the kinkier stuff, and my games contain stuff that I personally like. My way of writing is very casual, so even while things can get kinky, it never goes into the cringy 50-shades style. Wholesome + Kinky is just a natural progression. The reason the first game (Headpats) never went too far into the kinky side is because I never felt it fit the characters. Meanwhile, I kept it in mind when designing the characters for game two (Sakura).

Though I imagine it is also simply an easier process when it comes down to making the scenes and progression of the game. Writing the usual escalation we know of is easier and it kind of makes the player look forward to the groping and evolution of it, also easier to keep track of when it comes to plot. I guess the logic is sometimes "if sex happens too fast, people will lose interest" and that CAN happen, if your plot and characters are nothing to care about I guess, so they follow the tropes.
