Unity - Orc Massage [v2023-07-11] [Torch Studio]

Review of version 0.5.2:
First of all Tutorials are a bit confusing to understand but you learn how to during the actual practice instead. In addition during a specific intimate message where after you fondle the Elf's breasts it wasn't quite clear that you needed to zoom out and spread the legs to proceed, i had to find this out by randomly clicking and holding till i got a result but this might just be me.

I didn't like the way you earned coins though, the tutorial didn't explain it well enough for me to understand which was the reason i just gave myself money through cheat engine, i'm not here to grind money. This should've took another star off the review but since people like me would have cheated in the money regardless, i don't lmao.

Some animations should be given an option to be skipped after the first 2-3 times you've seen it like the telephone animation, exiting animations, walking to the other side of the table animation, exercising animations.

The only bug i encountered so far was after the results of the message was shown and her text after, she started to fall into the ground instead of walking out the door which was pretty hilarious but after the screen went black it didn't load. I'd reckon it crashed so I rebooted the game and it pretty much resolved it and my data was kept.

Another thing is how laggy the game is during the sex scenes of poses 2-3, i already set my game's graphics to medium but i couldn't go lower than that, then again it could just be me with my average PC build with 8 gb of ram. While i'm on the settings, it's too bad that one can't make the resolution more smaller as the smallest setting available windowed was no different then it was in fullscreen.

Overall the in-game content (aside from the minigame you earn coins with) made up these technical issues for me, i enjoyed having to massage and think about what parts i should do first and whether i should be using the AOE option or the Single focus option. Sex scenes were pretty good though during the first 2 times i got it the cum didn't render but eh, i don't really care about those things. I feel the problems currently inside the game are early/rookie issues that will be resolved the more the game develops and doesn't majorly affect the enjoyable parts of the game like massaging gameplay and the sex scenes

TL;DR : Alright/Good-ish game with the only problems is the technical stuff which i personally considered trivial matters that'll be resolved or improved later on.

This game could be so much better if they actually explain how the mechanics work instead of whatever THIS is. Every new mechanic I have to either look up or spend 20mins trying to understand because their picture book of an explanation is God awful.

This game is a barely playable poorly optimized buggy mess.
The core gameplay loop is unresponsive at times, and very tedious with how slow The Orc moves.
The money making minigame simply does not work half the time due to how buggy the game is.
When animating the character models have noticeable folds in their mesh. Most notable with the harpy's mouth sometimes looking like its not even a part of her model.
The animations often break as well.
Oh, and speaking of the animations. The game nickels and dimes hard on the little time waste animations. Let me click through the answering the phone animation after the first time. Same when one of the girls leaves the office.
The tutorial is borderline useless. Explain things with words you useless goblin.

Yet I 100% it so far and plan on checking out later builds.
Why?
Erotic massages are a kink I don't see often in porn games and I am a fan of it, and the character designs for the girls are some of the best I've seen in a porn game in ages. Even if it was buggy as all fuck and the girls flailed around bizarrely when being fucked, they were all just outstanding designs and the art style fits them very well. Thalia the White Elf is one of if not my favorite porn game slut I have ever seen.

Here is my quick review :

The pros :
- The massage theme is fresh.
- Great models. I can't stress it enough, the ladies look sexy in this game. Even the orc looks nice.
- The massage mini game is ok, I would even say "nice". Not too long, not too hard.
- The 3 stages leading to the sex scenes are a nice addition.
- Great sex animations.
- Great facial expressions.

The cons :
- The physics is fucked up sometimes. The elf is nearly perfect (the boobs fall INTO the chest cavity sometimes, just a little bit but still), the harpy is quite messy (obviously because of the wings) and the tiger girl has some problems with her tail and her legs (when you try to spread them).
- The second massage stage is quite bad. The idea is ok, but not the execution. With the elf, it's ok, but with the harpy ? Oh Lord... I don't even have to explain in details, everyone who played this part will understand that having to massage a spot on the WINGS while looking at the FRONT of the harpy is not a good idea. Same goes for the tiger lady, some positions are quite hard to reach (but nothing on the level of the harpy).
- The money mini game is a chore. It should give 400 dollars, not 200. Also, you should get some fucking money with the main chicks !
- The tutorial is not good enough. The goblin should explain it with words. It's not that hard to understand tho.
- Bad optimization. Some sex scenes will make the game run in slow mo.
- Many little bugs. Most will be fixed after you go back to the main menu or, worse, close the application.

TL;DR : A great game with many technical problems. I quite like it.

I will start by saying that I was really excited for the premise of the game because it sounded funny and different from the usual boring dredge adult developers have been pumping out, so I advise keeping an eye out for the full release of the game because currently it is more upsetting than enjoyable.

Sadly, this game has been one of the most infuriating experiences of 2022 so far.
The "tutorials" are severely lacking, giving no real help or explanation as to how the gameplay functions, leaving you to figure it out for yourself by banging your head against the wall and loading your save over and over again if you are like me and refuse to accept some of the BS the game throws at you.

For example, a repeated issue I have had is trying to find the locations of the stupid "part massages" either due to them existing in areas literally off screen (you can't zoom in or out or rotate the camera during these infuriating minigames, only during the initial massage minigame and during the sex animations), or because the part you need to touch is hidden behind another body part, making it literally impossible for you to target because you always target the body part closest to the camera.
In one instance, the part I needed to target was behind the massage bed so it couldn't be seen AND it was being blocked by another body part, so it couldn't be targeted either, which means I was guaranteed to fail the massage and would have to do it all over again just to potentially wind up in the exact same situation again!

Aside from the buggy gameplay as described above, there is also buggy audio to the point that the first time I played it, I only had audio once every random moment, which became a big surprise to me once I started a new game and suddenly had audio for everything and had to turn everything way down because of how loud it was.

Then there is the very long load times, taking the game several minutes to boot up on default settings, but that's honestly negligible along with the janky character models that seem to have glitch movement mastered (reminds me of Last Evil, which is actually kind of nice to think about, but it's a bad sign when your game makes the player wish they were playing a different game you published).

All that aside, the repetitive, boring, and often annoying minigame you have to do to make money in the game over and over again is easily one of the most dreadful parts of the game.
It's "rhythm based" in that you have to match four commands to four clicks, each command having a one second window of opportunity.
Click too fast and you fail, click too slow and you fail, click perfectly in time with the rhythm of the minigame...and you still might fail.
Thankfully the money you earn is cumulative, so even if you fail, you still get to keep whatever money was earned in that and previous attempts.
Unfortunately there is no multiplier function or anything that increases the rate at which you gain money (yet) and it's ONLY this boring as hell minigame that gives money, so you better get used to having to do the singular minigame more than any of the sexy bits in the game, because the cost of items goes up rapidly to the point that you'll have to do the game perfectly fifteen times in a row to get the final three items available (for now).

So all in all, the tutorials suck, the minigames are boring at best, infuriating at worst, and the payoff is some short single loop animations with very little real satisfaction (and a lot of clipping).

This is for the early access version.

As someone who saw the early builds of this game, I am pleasantly surprised. I had a bit of an advantage already knowing the gist of the game so I could understand what the crappy tutorials were trying to tell me. The animations are good and improving and are presented with a bit of story and context which is fun. Overall there has been general improvements and the game is in a much better and presentable state now then when I last played it.

Regarding minigame problems, I wouldn't be surprised to see some changes to make them better. The earlier build minigames went through a few iterations, so the dev isn't afraid of changing things that aren't working out. I did buy the game on steam and hope the rough edges will continue to be ironed out.

My major issues with this version:
*The tutorial images are unclear for new players.
*The new "open door" money making minigame is fairly tedious and unfun.
*Sometimes in body part massage, the required massage spots are hidden behind other parts of the body, this is most notable for the Harpy girl.
*General physics jank like the Tigirl's hips sometimes vibrating uncontrollably during the massage lol.
*The sound settings seem to reset when you re-launch the game.

Most of these issues are fairly easy fixes and will probably be solved at some point.

Quick side notes about the more negative reviews I see:
*"There is no story" - ... I mean there is so...
*"The old versions were better" - I personally found more jank and broken stuff in the old versions.
*"The game is too hard/unwinnable" - Some people didn't know you could upgrade your Orc . The first massage you do is supposed to be bad to introduce you to the upgrade system. The only time I was actually impeded was if I got unlucky with the pose the Harpy was in during body part massage. Which is annoying but doesn't always happen and most likely will be fixed.

Man... That AMAZING! Good animation, nice gameplay, a little bags( harpy body on sex scane 1 missing) and long loading+ miss RAM but not critical. Thanks for game. Wait a new updates! Good luck with your product guys.

This game used to be much better. I guess that was when it was actually possible to complete a massage without great difficulty.

I downloaded the game, tried a few times, exited the game, and fucking deleted it.

Developer: Work on a better minigame. This one is awful. Also, why the hell even do it so complicated? IT IS AN ADULT GAME, FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

The stars are given exclusively for the nice story, nice characters, and okay animations.

Thanks to the trash "tutorials" that doesn't explain anything the gameplay becomes pure "and now what the fuck do I do" or "how the hell am I supposed to..." swearing. This game is currently just almost 8bg of pain and confusion.

This game has potential but it's poorly tested. It doesn't have any story and only consists of minigames, however... it's fine.

When it comes to the quality of gameplay then it really suffers due to lots of small (but noticeable) bugs and lack of testing - what I mean is an implementation of content without checking if it's actually playable.
Guess what, sometimes it's not and you have to lose during some minigames.

Normally I would give this game a rating of solid 5, I know it's not the best adult game we've played but it's quite well made.

Only if the product would be properly checked...

The game doesn't have much to offer. First things first the game has no Story and even if it did the developers just google translated everything so none of it makes sense.

As all unity games, this one also has the curse of fixed resolution, so if you have widescreen you will have to play the game on fullscreen, forget about windows.

The sound in the game is irrelevant, like the devs didn't even bother adding a humble bundle royalty free music in the game. Put some kind of playlist on youtube before playing to at least have something as bg noise.

The animations are clipping everywhere and the all four of the sex scenes are awkward. Devs need to first develop a proper camera that doesn't just moves you close/through the models, but makes them transparent or something, what I am saying is that it is near impossible to catch a good angle because the Orc is way too fucking huge.

The whole minigame is erh, it's a numbers game and gets stale real quick there is zero depth into it there are no story factors or groping going on, it doesn't feel like it.

This isn't an early access game, what are these devs smoking, this is barely a demo.

The translation is horrible. Please fix the translation, or request someone fluent in English to fix it. It should not take long to get a proper translation finished with how little text is in this game.

I was only able to view one sex scene before I was bored. The animations were fluid and enjoyable, although the orc's cum looked like soap water and used really bad looking particle effects.

The gameplay is okay, although it would be nice to skip through the phone conversations a bit faster, and the user interface itself is bare-bones and unintuitive. Additionally, it would be smarter if clicking on each fatigue indicator brought the orc to the right position, rather than only allowing clicks on the elf's body parts to do that.

I also believe that there is a leveling system intended for the orc's massage moves, but I could not make it function. It may be unimplemented, but being unable to level the orc's techniques creates a soft-lock on progression.

As other players have stated, a save system would be convenient.

I appreciate this developer going out of their way to make an actual game, rather than making another visual novel or cheap RPGMaker asset flip. However, I would not say that this is fun yet, and I did not find any sexual satisfaction in playing it because of the many issues it has.

I love this game, it reminds my girlfriend and i. The art is realy cute! Keep up with the good work. Looking forward to new releases. I hope the new girls are as good as the elven girl. Nice Job!

Really great and simple concept overall. Very straight forward and easy to play, I can see a lot of harder clients rely heavily on finding sweet spots or leveling up a lot. It's a nice mix of sensual and sexual with a dash of resource management.

Starts out simple but I can imagine the complexity they could add with additional techniques and more complicated anatomy. Only real gripe with the game so far is the interviewing aspect before the massage which doesn't really help at all. The elf can ask you to pound her legs, press her ass, and be gentle with her ears but then all of her sweet spots are none of those three requests. Although I imagine it could be more cryptic in later versions where you're given just a single hint and have to figure out the rest from there.

Definitely looking forward to it. A lot of potential and the patreon shows a nice variety of potential girls. I just hope each girl gets more than one position and animation or maybe even have sexual massages at some point, perhaps when you max out affection.

Good first release, with a lot more customization to your parlor, a lot of sex positions and having you control the sex, some teasing thrown in before the sex scenes where the girl has to trust you first etc and more girls it could become a great game.

Cons (though understandable considering how early it is)
- gameplay needs more feedback*
- sex scene is a bit limited (perhaps a few sex scenes for each character to encourage repeatability)
-the selection of parts to massage ought to be more limited **

*: the problem I found is that I don't see any sort of feedback showing when I buy upgrades anything changed. all of my techniques are still level 1, again probably because this is an early build. Furthermore it seems like once I hit all 3 of the "need to massage" parts since then I've only found 1 spot that really needed massaging. I don't know if this is intentional or I'm still missing the other 2.
**: I don't know if it's a big deal but I think having it so that vertical placement of selection (i.e. you can click on her left thigh or right thigh) isn't a good idea. having it far more limited makes it clear what is an important place to massage and what is just, effectively cosmetic (as in the left and right thigh isn't going to matter so long as you massage the thighs). It's extremely nitpicky and really has no benefit but I think at the very least it's something to keep in mind when you further develop this game, that simplicity might be needed in some areas.

Seriously though I quite like the gameplay, obviously could use some polish is an early build. There could be more of an indication of what type of massge works were, (as of now the speed the bar decreases just changes).
However the gameplay I found to be smooth, not too clunky. And quickly responsive to my clicks, so much that the animating of the hands doesn't always keep up :S

As for the sex scene, I quite liked it, would like to have the option to creampie though. As for the camera I suggest to have preset camera angles to give those who don't want to mess with the camera to much an option, with that also have a default angle for the massage table to reset back to once over. (I would talk about sex positions but after checking their steam link there are other pos planned)

Other than that a very impressive early build, while light on content it is to my knowledge unique content both theme and asset wise for a porn game. Keep it up.

Cute elfgirl, game is looking really good. A nice little timewaster. It could use a savemenu and maybe add camera instructions to one of the introduction screens. A way to exit the game would also be nice. Otherwise it's a solid start.
