I mean, I can think of a couple other VNs that also parody or poke fun at the very very common incest trope in most VNs. The fact that literally every character in the game addresses Parker as MC's mom is kind of a running joke because she actually really isn't his mom and he's constantly reminding them of that. I personally get a kick out of it.

As far as safe mode, I get why the dev did it. At the beginning according to some earlier dev logs, Jaq did try hard to avoid upsetting certain F95ers who get very insecure over such things as future LIs who are currently single and sexually active. Safe Mode was a way to give them an out while also letting them know that he wasn't going to drastically alter the game or the characters for them... But then it became obvious that nothing would stop their bitching because they still got upset and cried "NTR" when that unnamed extra was getting spitroasted in the woods in CH2... in a porn game... So I doubt the dev will be bothering to calm the crybabies anymore going forward. The dev is going to make his game the way he wants, and IMO that's the way it should always be.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of these jokes/allusions linked to the AVN universe; I understand that some people enjoy them, but they end up annoying me more than anything else by over-exploiting the same joke. I still don't understand why the developer felt compelled to make such a big deal about Parker, when he could have solved this very simple situation (patch or not) by simply making her a relative of the MC and the dilemma would have been solved, so to speak, without needing to make one about this character. In any case, that's my opinion: why overcomplicate things, when they could have been solved quite simply.

It's perplexing me, but I don't recall seeing the scene you're describing in the woods, despite having activated all of the options (except the safe mode of course). I just don't know it. And, yes, I completely agree with you about the sheer ridiculousness of people constantly complaining about NTR in games and holding "hostage" developers who don't give in to their whims; some of of them have become completely paranoid and see it everywhere, and it's enough to make you wonder if some of them don't fall into the realm of the pathological.

There are 100% people here who should be seeing a therapist rather than downloading stuff from this site.
For the most part I'm kidding, it's humor, but honestly, some of them are almost creepy and should really consider seeing a therapist, if only to avoid screwing up their health. And I mean that in all seriousness, without malice; I think that in addition to their obvious frustrations, isolation is undoubtedly one of the causes of their problems.
I have personally experienced mental health problems, as have close friends. It's important to recognize their presence, and perhaps to listen to the neutral, outside opinions of a professional if we find it difficult to confide in those closest to us. Recognizing the problem, and then seeking help, is the first step towards recovery. And if sometimes you don't succeed completely, it helps you to cope better with the problem.

As far as Parker, there are story-relevant reasons why the dev made MC an orphan and why Parker and Riley are not blood related. There are already hints to why, but it's going to be fleshed out more as the story goes on. I think it has to do with some yet-unrevealed reasons for the death of MC's parents. At any rate, the dev mentioned this in a FAQ on the OP and specifically suggested against anyone using unofficial incest mods as it would really fuck up the narrative. I personally don't think the VN really needs incest anyway.

The scene in the woods took place after the tiger attack when Moonsong had the teleporter dude send her and MC back to his hometown. They materialized at a popular make-out spot in the woods and just happened to materialize right next to a chick getting spitroasted. I think there was like only 1 or 2 renders of it in total but it was still enough to upset a few of the anti-NTR brigaders so they raised hell as they typically do.

I know that the developer has tried to justify Parker's relationship with the main character by referring to his apparently close relationship with his late father (the father's death ticks a box in my previous comment), but that doesn't alter the points I've made. Let's move on, however, as we risk getting stuck in this debate.

Curious, I really couldn't remember that scene, so it must have slipped my mind, but no big deal. I'll see if I can find it again, but it's certainly not a very shocking scene, at least not enough to justify any complaints.
If it had been Parker's scene in the bathroom, maybe (although personally I don't care much about this scene), but it's just weird that the MC is spying on her and that she's fantasizing about him by screaming out his name while having sex with some random guy during his birthday dinner (I almost feel sorry for the guy who serves as her substitute haha).

God... this discussion about ntr in this game still doesn't stop... even those who say there is ntr here, those who defend ntr and those who say there is no ntr here. View attachment 4112573

guys, it's time to end this nonsense and enjoy the game Origin Story!
I'm indifferent to whether or not NTR is present in this game. I do, however, have reservations about the story. The presentation of the game's universe was interesting and entertaining, but so far, apart from the main character's somewhat idiotic and somewhat limited superpower, there's not much else to discover at the moment. So I've got a few reservations about that; and if the dialogues could drag on a little less on silly, cheesy subjects, that would be a big step forward too. :p
The MC could also gain in intelligence, charisma and, above all, the ability to take the initiative. It wouldn't hurt him to mature a bit, I think. Overall, characters should act more consistently, make fewer stupid or rash decisions, and experience fewer abrupt personality changes from one scene to the next. Character development seems rather disjointed at times.

Jesus H Christ, the story has JUST begun! Are you one of those that want a Gary Stu from the start? Give the story time to develop. And limited power? Are we playing the same VN?

The game already has 5 chapters, but you could say it's just getting started, since nothing major has happened since the MC's attack and the revelation of his power, I suppose. We'll see if the story gains momentum and, more importantly, if it lives up to its promise.
I never said I wanted to make the hero a Gary Stu, but rather to make him less of a dolt and not just a plain horny teenager with some superpowers, and in any case at least make him more interesting to follow.
And I wanted to point out that, on the contrary, stories centered on a very powerhouse main character tend to bore me. In this respect, I appreciated the fact that a well-known AVN game set in a different universe saw its latest update end with the main character being put in a life threatening situation, even though everything had gone relatively smoothly up to that point. I mention this only as a comparison, not to promote the game, as people will easily understand what it's about. I just thought that in the example I gave, the MC was getting off far too easily up to that point, and that it was a bit annoying when a hero rolled over everything.

It will probably have many more chapters, the only problem I see is the 3 month wait time between chapters, so 4 chapters a year max. I don't know how long dev is planning to continue on the game, mostly after a year or 2, they start to abandon the game...

Is the MC birthday dinner you all keep mentioning in the game still? I have played through twice and have never seen it.

It's not a particularly important scene, especially considering how easy it is to avoid. On my first game, I also missed it from memory, but then realized that you can relive events from the MC's past by clicking on the photos of family and friends hanging on the wall. The photos can be found in his bedroom, under the Sisterhood posters.

Is there any walkthrough-mod  (y)
No, I don't think there are any walkthrough mods for this game yet. Instead, you can turn to the URM and UCD mods (Universal Ren'py Mod, Universal Choice Descriptor), available somewhere on the site. These two very practical mods work together on a large number of AVNS running on Ren'py.

Edit : Here are the links, download them, follow the instructions and you should be good to go.

Don't click on photos too quickly once they're displayed, or you'll close them. Just click once to zoom in on the photo and display it, then click at the word “remember” in red in the top right-hand corner. But I can see how that might be a bit tricky on the phone.

He has 20 chapters planned and from what I understand "broadly" written (i.e. still filling in detail of dialogue and stuff).

So he wants finish halfway 2028.
That's in 3 years since we are almost done with 2024. So i hope its not in 2028, He would need to dish out more updates faster then he does right now. meaning he might have or has another rendering machine to be able to make these updates faster, So i wouldnt put much faith in 2028 unless there's a timeskip
