can't go off topic here with other game recommendations, create a thread in the appropriate forum section or ask the question in the already existing ones... I'm not blowing you off but this ain't the place to discuss other games.

He was talking generally, not personally.
The BY FAR most widely known game amongst average AVN players is Origin Story.
Most people that were called to vote never even heard of most of the other games prior to the vote.
That YOU have played maybe 70% of the games does not mean everybody has.
The answer from him most likely is a form of "I don't know".

I tried a lot of games here, I just wanted to know if in the 70% list he played, was any game that stood out. Of course, I could create a new thread, but I am not interested in good games, I know a lot of good AVN's, only from that pool, I didn't know any, except of course Origin Story.

And that was the main reason why Origin Story won.
Not that it not deserved to win the main category and a few minor ones, but it was "the most known among the unknown".
I think this is just an inherent problem of public polls like this. Especially if they are among relatively new and unknown games, it's essentially a popularity contest. This can be fine for "best new game" or something like that, but for categories like "best UI" it's nonsensical since people are just going to vote for the best of what they've played, which just reverts back to being which tend to be most popular.
Don't get me wrong, I love Origin Story and among the 7-8 of the games on the list I've played believe the win for Best New AVN is deserved, but in more specific categories like Best UI there were likely other entries more worthy.
If you really want polls of things like Best UI, the people voting should only include people that have actually seen the UI of all the entrants.

First 4 updates were every 2 months, but it'll be about every 3 months going forward based on latest dev updates.
