This game has some incredible girls, Evelyn is by far one the best LI's I've ever seen. Well done! I can't wait to see more updates!

So I read the Dev notes about a slow start.... but I'm 3 chapters in with the most meaningful choice being whether to give a homeless woman some change.
I am not a fan of VNs; I prefer games. Should I bother keep going or did it start as it means to continue?

... You've been around long enough to know how this site works dude. If you're not a fan of VN's then why are you playing them, expecting them to be something they aren't?
Hell, this site in general the overwhelming majority of games on here are VN's
Just filter them out.

I should have written kinetic novels rather than VNs. VNs can have meaningful choices. Why am I trying it? It looked interesting and after checking the dev notes, it seemed there might be enough choices to keep me engaged.

Oh okay, I get you dude. Yeah kinetic novel makes much more sense. Well yes and no, it's not a strict kinetic novel in the sense that there are definitely choices - but those choices basically boil down to "do I want to see this or not, do I want to do anything with this character or not?" rather than the Japanese VN that's basically a full blown different game depending on the route kinda choice.
So as it stands right now, it's probably not the sort of game you're looking for - maybe that will change later on. I can definitely see some good/evil path coming into play later on in the story. Still that's probably going to be minor dialogue and scene changes than the JP VN variety I mentioned before.
You mentioned the Dev Notes, but this exact topic is covered there.
There's 20 chapters planned, so the first 4 is really just finishing up the intro. There starts to be more impactful choices around chapter 4 and 5, and I'm sure there will be more as the dev has specifically mentioned meaningful branching.
That said, there's no LI point tracking or any of those other common gamification aspects so far. Just individual significant choices. If you want to be picking minor dialogue options every couple minutes, that probably isn't going to happen.
Just one creator, and Evelyn is their favorite girl (with Ruth as biggest rival for right behind her). So no, I really don't see this being some far-fetched revenge plot that will result in people hating her.
Rough as it potentially is, her power is legit incredibly useful for a potential superhero. The worst part about effectively having precognition is seeing something bad that might happen but not having the power to stop it. But if MC has more powers than anyone on earth and the support of the Sisterhood, he is better positioned than anyone to actually do something about it, and having 2 people with the same power viewing different people gives double the opportunities to see something important. And while it might take a few tries for MC to get it right, Evelyn knows that MC will have a massively easier time figuring it out with her guidance than she did without any. It took her months to figure it out, where I suspect he'll have it under control within days.
As for her suddenly much more forward personality, I can easily believe her when she says this is how she's felt and thought for a long time but was too afraid to show. Previously, she could be passive and keep her hornier side hidden because she believed she could just wait until her birthday and get what she wanted by default. But now it's clear she's going to have a lot of competition and fast, so she can't just keep things hidden, stay passive, and expect for MC to eventually be hers by default anymore. She might actually have felt compelled to dial things up to higher than she normally would in order to make up for lost time and she'll even out a bit once she feels confident MC is going to be with her (though I fully expect her to remain very horny and unafraid to share it). And while she's only had sex 1-2 times in real life, I guarantee she's heard way more kinky language in her mind over the past two years. It's also consistent with a recurring theme in the game of women actually having sexual thoughts and desires too.
It's a much simpler explanation than mind control or something with a lot fewer assumptions.
Edit: Also, keep in mind that jacq lives in Germany I believe. So if you live in a culture that's much less sexually open, what is within the range of normal for him might seem extreme for you.

There is no sane way this game would work without LIs being forced on you (initially at least). Imagine the infinite storyline permutations if every interaction was your choice.

And "praise the meta" for that. Too many "sandbox" elements makes VNs unnecessarily tedious and too many branching paths extend the development time and then causes the thread to turn into a perpetual off-topic bitchfest moaning about it.
This dev is doing it exactly right, IMO. There aren't many choices (which is a good thing) and the ones we have are mostly related to sexual preferences so the narrative stays focused on the characters and the story. Major branching choices are present but kept to a minimum. Furthermore, I like the fact that Origin Story has a 3rd person perspective of the MC and not some faceless self-insert garbage that so many VNs have.

It's also worth pointing out that OS is ultimately a pseudo-harem game. A lot of non-harem games add branching by presenting mutually exclusive "dates" with LIs that gradually lock you out of paths. For example, you might have to choose to either spend time with Girl A in the Cafe or Girl B in the Park but not both. If you want to experience all the romance content, you're forced into multiple saves and playthroughs.
That probably isn't going to happen much here, if at all. Branching is likely to be primarily plot related and not LI romance related, other than whether or not you're on each LIs path.

There's actually 5 Sisterhood girls, not 4. Moonsong, Emerald, Lady Steel, Coldsnap, and Ghostraven. That brings the current total "main LIs" to 9.

It's in the title that this is a super hero Origin Story. The MC is going to start off weaker in the beginning than the middle or end because otherwise there's no room to grow.
He demonstrates pretty early that he has the will to be a hero, and the training, experience, and power to actually be one will likely come with time.
She allowed herself to be eaten out by some rando waiter in a restaurant the first (and only?) time they met, during the MC's birthday celebration. She's not exactly "difficult" or "chaste", so it honestly could happen at any point the author wants it to. Especially now that the MC is a little more all around confident.
I feel it might be more of a technical problem (cause making renders take time) than a writing one that requires the right elements and circumstances to allow for the event to happen
