Lmao "a betrayal". Dude let other supporters know of his thoughts without even a particularly disrespectful take.Yeah, it could have been the wrong move to make. Short-sighted and flippant. I'm gonna standby it.
From my perspective, you were a 1-month patron that never said anything until I used the words "sandbox" and "life sim" to vaguely describe my ideas for future game systems... whereby you publicly expressed your doubt towards the project and said you were going to stop supporting it for the time-being. Kinda felt like a betrayal, since I made it pretty explicit for the time being that I'm going to continue Orphan in it's current format... But sure, reasonable enough. You had your doubts.
Why you felt like you had to take that stand publicly instead of reaching out to me, (i.e. sowing the seed of doubt in the rest of community), I don't know. I'm pretty accessible through here and Discord; easy to reach, I'm happy to talk w/ people about the game and it's design. It's okay to express concern. But your post on patreon felt a bit like a middle finger, "I'm out", so yeah... I blocked you and went on with my day.
Why was I supposed to reply?

Did you expect me to beg you to stay subbed? To potentially change or not change my game's design over the fate of $6? No man... that's not how I operate. I'm deeply grateful for my patrons and those who want to be a part of the community & support the game's development. But if you don't fuck with what I'm putting out, and want to leverage your support of the game over a potential design decision that I'm making... You can get that ass blocked.
But maybe I'm crazy. Cheers man, and I hope ya'll enjoy the newest update.![]()
Oh yeah, heh, I totally hate when that happens too... Unless?Man this looks promising. Text CYOA games are fun. Just wondering if everything/most kinks are optional?
The only thing I dislike about games with branching paths is getting surprise buttsexed.
That's completely and utterly different than mine.I finished it after several hours and I think there are many paths, because from the previews uploaded in the first post I never found the violet demon being or the elf in the bikini smoking the pipe.
I feel as if the game is now about 10% or less of its full content, it could easily reach 1 million words in the future, it looks like a big alien world.
In my case, the route I blindly followed ended in an unexpected way:
I couldn't catch the thief because two rascals crossed my path.
I probably chose the wrong way to deal with them and ended up as a slave in the arena.
I killed the ogre very easily.
Enter a grand banquet where you talk to the three royal maidens, your new friends and another gladiator, and finally find the gypsy sitting alone at a table in the corner.
To be continued...
Two typos I found:

I also like that it has music, it accompanies the reading.
So, did I like it as a whole? I think so, but I'm a bit dazed now, firstly because it's 5.50 AM and I'm already a bit sleepy, and secondly because of the abrupt ending.
If you're looking for sexual content, perversions, etc, I don't think it's for you, it's a slow read of an epic adventure in medieval style with many of the classic races and a mystery in the background. One of those books you find in a library and not in F95.
But I think I'll wait for the end of the banquet and how that part ends before I decide.
So that's the elf I missed, but did you find the purple/violet demoness?I caught the thief, messed around with a elf slave in a tavern, went to the school, then followed the few school things til to be continued.
I went through again and lied to the elf about who I was and didn't get friendzoned this time.
