By chance will you ever release a debug mode or if it would be available for patreon when the game is like maybe 50% close to done? Like suddenly have max stats, certain traits, magicks, artifacts or runes?
Anyways great update, still deciding which route I want to take. On one hand I like to be the slave gladiator warrior, I feel like the sheer amount of characters in that route alone intrigues me. On the other hand there's magic and that purple demon lady who's always trying to seduce me.

Dev sounds like he does a lot of mushrooms and talks to god... exactly the kind of person you want writing something like this.

definitely try the gladiator route. IMO it's far more compelling. Branch occurs during the thief chase.
Hi guys, i play this game on my Android phone, so i use mobile browsers. I haver the issue that il can"t See any Images, it only shows the "Broken image" symbole. Anyone had the issue and knows how to solve it on android?

After some more thought... I realised it was because of her teeth. I don't like the way they stick out of her mouth.

Apologies - Orphan isn't optimized for the illiterate Third Quarter peasantry.
Try a Rule 34 clicker next time. You’ll find plenty of shiny pictures to oogle and goon to.
But thanks for saying please. There are a couple lewd images in the game, and there's plenty of different routes/branching choices so they're easy to miss. That's not my focus, although I understand how it would increase the broader appeal.

Thanks for responding - yeah, I want visuals and I would have been disappointed if I tried it. Didn't occur to me there could be almost none by design tbh.
That's totally fine though. Seems like you've dodged the fellow illiterate r34 gooners in the reviews so far but if I were you I'd have been cautious and had a warning for the H content being almost exclusively text based. Best of luck to you

I also started playing looking for the lewd drawings. After ten minutes I realised that I wasn't going to find what I was looking for.
However, I was drawn into the story and ended up almost unwittingly becoming enslaved. Three rich, capricious maidens from high society appear, and I'm sure at least one of them is the key to liberation or escape.
Unfortunately, my version ended before I got to speak to the gypsy or crystal ball reader who appears in the previews.

Yeah, I'm eagerly awaiting (w/ thinly subdued terror) those reviews!
The warning/disclaimer isn't a bad idea, maybe I'll run a poll for it in the Discord. As you can tell at this point, I'm aiming for something provocative, unapologetically literary, and not for the lowest common denominator. I'm drafting a bunch of images right now for Chapter 3.0 but none of them are especially gratuitous. With anything visual, I just want it to really nail Orphan's atmosphere and draw the player further into the world & each scene.

The scene with her has been out for a while, but I understand that a lot of people would prefer to wait for the big 3.0 release before delving back into Cradle. Totally understandable.

I am definitely part of the basic crowd that's just looking for candy with a good wrapping but I'm not the type of person to lash out at everything that's not tailor made for me lmao xd But I've also noticed there's plenty people that do, so it would probably be a good idea to stave them off right at the gates and save yourself bad ratings from them.
At first I just thought you were doing your game a disservice not advertising the pics while having good ratings xD
In reality even if you have some great h scene pics you most likely should not show them as they'd give the wrong impression of the content.
Your project is so uncommon that, as I already said, I think most people are looking for juicy porn with some clicking involved so I'd have a big warning sign that this is not that type of experience. I wouldn't be 'eagerly awaiting' them if I were you lmao xD

Hello ! I started the game but outside of the text, every single picture or image seems missing, from the stats to the menu, icon, etc, i only have empty squares and the icon of a broken picture, is there a way to fix it ?

I imagine that you downloaded Orphan, and may have unzipped the folder in correctly.
These 3 folders (containing the images, fonts & music) and the index.html file need to be in the same location (ideally a shared folder) in order to interact with each other.

Everyhing is already in the "orphan_chpt2.9_free" folder, doesn't it count as the same location? Or do you mean i have to put the content of all these folders in the same one ?

Make sure you've extracted them from the zip folder, and that you aren't trying to launch the html (index) file from within the zip. Extract zip into new folder -> Launch html file. I just downloaded the free version of the game to troubleshoot it and ran into this, so I can only guess that's what's happening for you!
Let me know if that works-- but if you keep running into trouble, the quickest fix would to play on itch.io! That has the same free version of the game as what's uploaded here.
Sadly, nothing worked... but itch.io work perfectly fine so i'll go there ! Thanks for wasting some of your time helping me !
