Well in the end this is your version of Lena, there is not one Lena in the game. Depending on what you choose for her you get different version of Lena and one of them is the hypocrite Lena.:)
I have several saves to see as much as possible scenes and developments. But good boy/good girl gameplay - doesn't have a lot XXX content. So "bad" routes leaves more impressions sadly.

In fairness Ian is a bit like Schrödinger's asshole with Cindy / Minerva; but Lena really takes the cake with characterization contradiction.
Yes, in Cindy/Minerva case - yes. In case of Minerva, it would be much more interesting for me to have revenge without all that "revenge" sex thing

Yeah, Lena is such a weird girl. I've been recently trying out Lena without the word "no" in her vocabulary and she makes no sense at all. I just can't get into it, I'm forcing my way through the scenes to read the dialogue and it is really weird. BTW: the fact that some art from Robert and Ian's sex scenes was reused between the two... It's so fucking lame...

This for me is the saddest thing. It's a game that suggests and implies we should try out a wholesome romance, then provides next to no content on said wholesome romance. And you can't avoid it - I've chosen every bad option when Ian and Lena are together, to try and make them hate each other, but Eva is FORCING THEM together, regardless of whatever they do.

It's dumb logic. "Here is a romance about two characters. Now watch them fuck literally everybody else."

If you play the game "as intended", a nice, pure romance between the two (it's what they are both looking for after they've been hurt so badly), the game is a great romance. There's just not a lot of content for a game taking so long to finish.

It's like I was doing a Superhero movie and in the middle of the movie it stopped for a two hour sidetrack of the Villain killing people, or the Hero studying for his college exams.

Based on Holly's character she isn't exactly opposed to 3-somes with people she idolizes.
If I'm not wrong Holly isn't opposed to threesome only when she's on what should I say corruption route, which basically stops once she enters in relationship with Ian or Lena goes after her, and I doubt someone shy and bit insecure girl like current Holly would agree for something like threesome it would too out of character for her.
Then there is Allison, who is looking for some sort of edge over Lena and she already floated the idea of 3some with a friend (albeit a guy) - but still, maybe that is how she can get that edge- she is constantly flailing around for attention already.
You said it yourself she's constantly flailing around for attention and I don't think someone looking for attention will want competition, would she?
Why would a Allison x Emma x Ian 3 some be any less believable than a Allison x Jeremy x Ian 3some?
Umm, maybe because Alison basically says Fuck you to Ian if she catch him with Emma?
edit: by the way, it's funny that Lena is against threesome due to her past with Axel and Cherry, but she is ok to suck dick of her friend's boyfriend (with said friend in the same room + another friend)
I don't think threesome was ever a problem for Lena (atleast I don't remember it being) cheating was. Axel cheated on her with Cherry thn had audacity to propose threesome with same girl he cheated with.

Nice, I will need to replay the game some time soon to renew my memories. That means that it shouldn't be a problem to add such content after some more development in story

What is Our Red String?
Our Red String is my attempt to
take what I learned from Good Girl Gone Bad and, hopefully, create an even better narrative experience. This time around you play as two characters, Lena and Ian as they attempt to find themselves, chase their dreams and seek love or lust in accordance with your guiding hand.
Wherever did you get idea from? This game was never about wholesome romance, it's part of it? Yes but that's it.

Holly x Ian 3 some considerations

Why exactly does corruption have to stop when Holly flips to Ian's route? Is Ian too much of a good boy to do kinky things with his partner? :KEK:

If you want to be really technical and look at the game's coding. Holly can still have the same number of Holly_Change points (basically the points that determine how bold holly is) when she enters her relationship with Ian or Lena and she is okay with a ladies 3some with two of her friends at those levels.

Alison x Ian 3 some considerations

Its another vector in which Alison could try to be competitively neurotic / grab Ian's attention.

There is a deep distinction between Ian choosing to go with Emma over Alison vs Ian/Alison inviting another female character to join their play after first talking about the option.

One situation is inclusive of Alison and treats her as the #1 and the other chooses another option over her without deference to her consent or opinion.

I mean, she is constantly pushing them together. The whole story of how they meet, how they speak to each other, it's pretty clear that their relationship is the fulcrum of the story. The pillar.

And after what they went through, I find it really hard to believe they would want to be together in the hypersexual paths. Lena always talks about how Ian is special when she is with him, how it feels so good and amazing. It doesnt really make sense for her to then go fuck Axel or Jeremy again, who she despises due to their infidelity.

Additionally, she talks about how she like Ian a lot because he's different. I don't think she would be interested in having a serious relationship with him if he was Ian the manslut.

Id rather have a shoot out between lena and cherry than that lmao
Well, we still don’t have the full picture of the Lena/Cherry/Axel story. We got a bit of Lena and Cherry’s personal view.
And I think Lena and Cherry have to talk together, like suggested by Holly.

I’m sure that Axel has used both Lena and Cherry, I don’t see that Cherry is a bad person.

Don't underestimate Holly's desire to be the perfect girlfriend for Ian and gain sexual confidence (even without Ivy's "help"). She's not the possessive type, would probably be even okay with a casual relationship if both Ian and Lena would give her this chance instead of making the choice for her. Holly is bisexual, so if she meets a girl she likes, and who wouldn't treat her badly and betray her (like her former friend did), there's nothing stopping her from trying except for her shyness and lack of experience. Emma or Cherry would be best girls for Holly to have a threesome with because they'd treat her with respect and wouldn't tease her after that, and Ian would be careful and make sure that she's 100% on board before setting something up.

Just wanted to note - that you are completely right. She was not ok with the fact, that Axel was already cheating with Cherry before they had sex all three together. So there shouldn't be anything in the way of such developments with Lena. And not necessary - just with Holly.

Love and lust never do make sense or need to. They just happen to you and you can't help but experience them. When Axel kisses her and reignites all of the familiar passions while subduing her jealous hurt (especially if they had the talk before and she stopped hating him), her hormones just tell her to fuck him and it's very hard for someone who's been in that relationship for so long to resist falling back into that lust just to once again feel safe and carefree at the same time. Logic or thoughts about other people can fly out the window. Lots of female cheating happens this way. They don't pre-plan it, but they feel so good in the moment they can't find strength to resist. Which is why if Lena lets it happen, all of her remaining Willpower just disappears. Just like that of a recovering alcoholic who once again finds themselves alone with a bottle and only a tiny sane part of their brain telling them to resist but their entire body begs them just to have one last sip.

All good and all that- but I think its dumb that getting the Axel kiss sets Lena's willpower to 0.

Like- let the player use a will-point to extract themselves or something. Is Lena seriously this spineless?

While we are on the subject of Will points- it would be nice if there were some non-sexual things Lena could spend them on; because I think I would have earned like 5 on my play-through and I spent 0.

You can. Lena only loses all of her Will points if you don't and just let it happen.

You can't earn more than 2 Will points at the same time. It's the limit that you have to get around by and it motivates you to spend it occasionally so you could refill it by doing certain things.

I really don’t get this apparent expectation that the characters need to act rational or in accordance with their own principles in every situation. Yes, a fictional character’s actions obviously shouldn’t feel random or completely out of the blue, as that’s just poor writing. But it’s also bad writing if the characters don’t have any flaws or never make the "wrong" choices when they’re given immoral alternatives. A character who helps an old lady across the road every single day: boring. A character who does it for a while but then one day suddenly decides to not help: interesting.

In a porn game one of the main conflicts will obviously be between the rational, good and considerate options, and the egotistical and instinctive ones which offer immediate satisfaction.

People have conflicting feelings. Lena can both develop feelings for Ian and secretly be drooling over his best friend’s cock which she coincidentally saw one night. That’s completely compatible. It’s not like she chose it because it’s a good idea, she just saw it and instinctively did it.

And when they’re at Ivy’s place, where Lena’s judgement is weakened by alcohol and drugs, and where Ivy sets it all up and makes it seem more harmless because it’s just a "game", she can take the unexpected chance to suck said friend’s cock. The next morning it seems like a bad idea, but most of us have done things which the next morning makes us think: "Why the hell did I do that?"

Of course it’s a question of whether it’s done convinceingly. Personally I’m not similarly convinced by the second Jeremy scene or the whole Mike path. But in the Axel scene I have no problems accepting that Lena can tell Ian she wants to be with him, but then immediately afterwards end up in Axel’s bed. First she’s thinking rationally and listening to her emotions, but then the instinctive lust for immediate pleasure defeats the rational thoughts when Axel makes his move.

And how much fun would it be if the Ian and Lena romance by default locked out all those other options? I also have an exclusive Ian and Lena playthrough among my saves, but that would have been a lot more boring if it didn’t include actively deciding not to do anything when the other options arise.
