Although I enjoy most of the game, I can understand your feeling. It's understandable that of course ORS is similar to GGGB since it's the same kind of game and from the same dev and it's also understandable/not surprising/common for a dev to recycle some of their assets like other game studios reusing their graphic engine.
Maybe you need something drastically different for you to enjoy and not feel like you've already played it. I know because I used to play a lot of RPG Maker games and after a few years, I tend to grow bored very easily as it feels like I'm basically playing the same game, as if it was copy pasted. Sometimes it's not even just the genre but the artist/dev like Nomo for exemple, I loved Noxian Nights but then I grew bored of Kingdom of deception so fast ... maybe I could give it another try after such a long time.
According to the reactions you received, some people seem to not be very open minded about different opinions especially since you showed good spirit in willing to try it a bit more.
Oh and on another topic ... some of you kept talking about how Eva Kiss wanted to create a more "realistic" story, right ?
Well, overall yes (and I highly appreciate it) but there's that one aspect that is such a shameful cliché and I failed to find anyone complaining about how "realistic" it was (totally not ironic)
Ah yes, Jeremy ... that lovable guy, right ? So, not only Eva wanted to make him less like a walking stereotype like Tyrone (by making him the only black man and who's
of course hung like a horse fucking around all those white women) but she also didn't want him to be defined by more than his ethnicity ? How ? Making him black for the sake of diversity ? Well in that case, why not more ? As of yet, there's only caucasian characters with one minor asian male character, one minor black female character and one major black male character.
He is : a black man, tall, muscular, into fighting sports, better than the MC on many aspects that would be considered "manly", a womanizer, and the cherry on top is his obvious big dick that the female MC can wet her panties over at first sight ... Yeah ... totally not a walking bag of stereotype, amirite ? He's only missing his rap music and black friends to run a train on the white ladies ... At least, Tyrone had more depth aside from all the cliché surrounding him.
Let's define him for what he truly is, he's the token black guy here only to fulfill the BBC fantasy. So, where are you, Knights of the Holy Realism, when will you shout "MUH REALISM" to rally your fellow warriors ?
I'm waiting to get flamed on and told how wrong I am
Come at me guys
Other than that ... I loved Ch.3 and I surprisingly enjoyed being wrong on a few things I thought after playing Ch.2 (Robert's behavior which is now clear to me that he's completely despicable) and about Ch.3 sneak peaks, I was very surprised to see Lena dressing up to meet Mr. Ward who's a very interesting and intriguing character (on top of his interest for philosophy which is already a topic I enjoy).
I loved Holly/Ian/Lena interactions (if we don't get the option to make a polyamorous couple with them, I'll be very disappointed because I'd like to make it
my canon version of the story).
I also loved the interaction with Cindy although sad to have to choose between her or Holly ... I'd like to "protect" her against potential predators.
Not so much with Allison, I thought better although she didn't do anything wrong to be fair but I didn't expect her to "open" herself that easily to anyone showing her interest (that's what you learn if you don't go with her the first time but meet her the second time).
Can't wait to know Minerva's real reason for hating Ian, she clearly hides something, it's very obvious after you confront her.
Worried about Axel's motivation concerning Cindy.
Very curious about Mr. Ward and what he's planing.
And lastly, it was very entertaining to see the last scene with Ian, Jeremy, Lena and Ivy, I cannot wait to see how Jeremy (and Louise ) will react to this. I'm guessing we'll have to choice (as Lena) to tell Louise or not and I think it's going to impact future decisions.
Another month of patience until Ch.4 !
Have a good one, guys and sorry for such a long post.
