I'm a little late to the 0.9 party here. Overall, very pleased with it, keeping in mind that there are at this point SO many paths to tie up (with red string) there needs to be some degree of consolidation to keep the story moving forward. I have no issue with Lena being locked into either subservience with Seymour or otherwise being a target for Seymour to destroy if she rejects his deal. He's the Big Bad, after all, and it makes sense he would drive a number of big decisions in the narrative. My theory/hope is that Wildcats is essentially a prostitution ring Seymour uses to advance his business deals and have fun with on the side.
If Eva is still operating under the plan she talked about a while ago, 0.10 might be the halfway point and where relationships get "solidified," which adds evidence for why the plot choices are starting to feel a little more restrictive now. Then if the time jump happens, there can be a soft restart in terms of choices.
Perhaps an unpopular opinion: mostly I feel bad for Cindy. She's a girl who has coasted this far in life on her looks, and has never really figured out what she actually wants, which parts of the dialogue make fairly clear if Ian doesn't come on to her but asks her hard questions about whether she wants to be with Wade. We know from other conversations that Wade used to be pretty smart and ambitious and has let himself go, caring almost exclusively about gaming. Cindy deserves better, but hasn't had to face these sorts of decisions before. So sure, Axel is charming and tells her she's a great model and she wants to believe that. And in future he could take advantage of her - the same way Ian can take advantage of her too, by flattery and assertive, spur of the moment lust. Sometimes pretty and "perfect" girls like Cindy can only respond impulsively, because they're scared of making any concrete decisions, having had no experience with it. And if Ian sleeps with her in 0.9 that does indeed seem to be the dynamic shaping up between them.
I missed Emma in this episode and appreciated the brief addition of her in the final version. If there's a female character I'm rooting for having much more play (of all kinds) in the story moving forward, it's absolutely Emma.
The guy who intrigues me most at this point is Mike. I'm not saying I want Lena to end up with him, but I think he walks a potentially interesting, complex line between being a potential actual friend to Lena instead of (or even in addition to) being a regular booty call for her. And I concur with various other folks here who have guessed at who his girlfriend probably is.
Having an official gallery now is great - big thanks to Eva and her team for making it happen.
Holly is growing on me, honestly any way the story looks to be developing. If she and Ian are together she's sweet and honest without being cloying in the way she could sometimes be in earlier chapters. If she and Lena are together I could see that developing into the most equal relationship in the entire game, and I'd cheer for that. And if Ivy corrupts her, I could enjoy seeing that sweetness slowly being replaced with a hot lust that I could also cheer... if it's done well. Ivy is often too much of a blunt instrument for my taste, so I feel less enthusiastic about that potential narrative as it currently stands. To my mind Holly is very much the sort of person who needs to be seduced into a deeper sexual life, not dominated into it.
ORS is still among the top three VNs I've encountered, and I'm pleased to be able to support Eva as she continues working on it. It's really fun seeing the various commenters here who get into story possibilities, motivations, potential avenues for future exploration, etc.
