What does "gardening approach to writing" means? (EN is not my first language)

Also, I haven't play GGGB but why does things needs to be changed for that to be on steam?
There are two approaches to writing, being that of an architect or a gardener. An architect methodically plans out the entire story and then writes within that framework, while a gardener starts out with an idea and, more or less, comes up with the story as they go. I'm not quite sure what they meant by changes needing to be required, though.

Anyone help I'm having a hard time doing a dp (dragon punch) motion as Lena and can't beat Allison once she does her super.
Alright main tricky thing about Alison is that she has really good overheads with her TittySmash attacks, so if she closes the gap she can mix you up pretty good since blocking high is just as important as blocking low. If you can't get the timing right on the wake-up dp, remember that Lena also has a charge special, her EX Poledancer Tornado should be able to knock Alison back and buy you some breathing room.

At medium range though Alison's pokes are pretty bad, in particular her lows are really stubby and have worse start-up when compared to Lena's, so feel free to bully her as much as you want at that range and don't let her get in without taking a lot of damage.

Also reminder that in normal situations Lena's zoning game is much better, Alison doesn't have projectiles and is a "big-sized" character so you can chip her away from a safe distance with Lena's Emo Singing, she will have a hard time dodging those to close the distance. The situation reverses once she gets her Pregnancy install though, since she gets access to her Milk Cannons projectiles and those will tear right through Lena's, so be ready to change up your game if that happens.

I'm writing a sci-fi novel, and you made me realize I'm a hybrid of both types, I already have the very general ideas of how the story would go, but most of the fine and minute detail come up as I write and in turn, it also helps me to plan further into the overarching story.

I watched an interesting video with Stephen King on how he writes. He will have a general idea on how the story will go, but then as he writes, he looks at a situation from the point of view of the character and t hen writes what they would do and he stated that he doesn't know how it will go (except the general direction obviously). I found it quite interesting, sort of like a hybrid of the two approaches you mentioned.

I have always been interested in writing, but I suck at coming up with a good story.

Well I feel like both approaches aren't really black and white and fall more into a scale, with every writer being a hybrid of the two, just generally leaning towards one side or the other. Even the most extreme 'gardeners' do have some idea or direction of what they want to accomplish in a story, they just haven't outlined every plot point and goes where the story takes them like with King. Vice versa, 'architects' may have planned ahead much farther and know the frameworks of their story, but that doesn't mean they're not opposed to being flexible with how the story expands.

actually it kinda is. if you see this game as "fap material", you are wrong imo. it's more than that, much more.
Well... ehh. Nah. It's fap material. Just very high quality fap material for all of us distinguished fappers who need plausible buildup, personal agency and suitable dialogue for our faps. *Dons tophat and monocle to fap like a sir*

"I play porn game for the plot"
I do. Some of the best games have less porn in them I find, like a good movie. If the story is good enough, I honestly could care less about the sex. I would rather it make some kind of sense (as much as it can in these sort of stories) than just some guy that bangs a dozen women in one day and they all smile about it and he has a limitless supply of cum and energy. LOL

I have played a few of these where I starting laughing as anyone would have collapsed from exhaustion. But I was never one to watch normal porn much for the same reasons. The ridiculous plots put me off too much.

Have you considered watching/playing regular movies/tv series/video games?

Nope. I like these. It doesn't have to be pure porn you know. But we each have our own tastes. I like a good story, a good buildup etc... and done in the style of a visual novel is ideal. Sort of like a normal erotic story that is text only. Simply describing physical acts is boring. The best part about those is the actual story, the buildup etc.

Have you considered watching just porn videos?

I actually do watch just porn videos but sometimes the games have better setup and build up. For porn that is. If I wanted to watch or play an interesting narrative I stick to the movies and tv shows, little less video games. I also find sex scenes extremely awkward when they are in movies.

That is very reminiscent of role-playing or improv acting. It sure helps to get in the shoes of one of your characters, and then act out the story from their POV. Then you switch to another character and do the same, etc. That approach also helps make those characters act consistent, because they basically all are a version of you (in a sense). I'm sure Eva does the same for Ian, Lena, Perry, Cindy, Alison, Cherry and Holly (others feel a bit distant and more basic). The tricky thing is accounting for player choice which can either enhance the immersion or break it based on how well these characters handle different player-set narratives. And that's where the planning has to play a role, to creatively limit the amount of choice in a way that doesn't look suspicious for the player.

“Limitless supply of cum” is a surprisingly good way to summarise the main issue with a lot of the not-so-good porn games out there
