Throwing a drink at someone's suit is hardly an assault, and definitely not of the "extreme" kind.

It's obviously significantly different, given the amount of damage a rock can inflict, as opposed to soft fluid.
The law sees both as assault, violence is violence. And ruining an expensive suit with that beer is a moral crime too.

> Big corpo
> Great life.
:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Seriously, joke of the day.
Small business is the backbone of a healthy economy. Never before have large corporations benefited economic prosperity and people's lives. They try to monopolize the market and put their own conditions on it. This is called Oligarchy or Corpocracy. The result - unjustified space prices, low quality products. This is not much different from the communist system, where the state has a monopoly on the economy, in this case, a group of large companies has a monopoly on the economy.

Poor little Seymour, it's an end of his life, beer on his expensive suit. Totally deserved. Frankly, after playing Ep.9
I perceive this moment as one of the best in the game.
Like this moment in another one:

It's the least of what Seymour deserves.
The Wanstein option at the end of the game is open to him.
How do you think food, technology and healthcare is so cheap in the west?
Do you think we would have all this tech available for pennies without big tech companies?
Only idiots and hippies don't see the benefit of capitalism.

So I'm trying to corrupt Holly in a certain way, but I'm unsure if there is a way to corrupt her enough to have her make out with Ivy, kissing Ivy as a greeting, while still being in a relationship with Lena. It seems I either corrupt her enough that she ends up giving Mark a blowjob or I end up protecting her to much from Ivy and she remains shy. I'm wanting Holly to become similar to Eva from GGGB. Where her and Lena are still in a relationship, but she's willing to get tats, piercings and dress more confidently / slutty, assuming that's where the storyline takes her.

Also, is Louise just the worst? I feel like no matter what choices I make, other than giving her my complete undivided attention, she just always gets pissed a Lena. Even in the route where I made her Lena's sex slave she was super whiney and attention seeking. Probably my least favorite character after Seymour.

While Holly has a "holly_change" variable that keeps track of how "corrupted" she is (honestly that only makes sense as porn game lingo, "outgoing" or "confident" would probably be more accurate to her case), she is still pretty commited and doesn't fool around when she has romantic feelings for someone. It is possible that just by being dating Lena that she won't get too flirty with Ivy no matter how "corrupted" she is.

Simply put, if Holly has sex with Ivy in chapter 8 (regardless of if Lena participates or not), you will miss your opportunity to start a romantic path between her and Lena, and this causes her to be more "affectionate" with Ivy (and open to things like going with Mark if you encouraged her in that department). If instead Holly has sex with just Lena in chapter 8 then you will be starting a romantic route between Lena and Holly and, even if you still "corrupt" Holly as much as you can by increasing "holly_change" whenever you can, she still won't get too affectionate with Ivy and won't go after Mark (unless you push her into it) because she has romantic feelings for Lena.

I think the path I'd recommend for you is to try to "corrupt" Holly as much as you can, but make sure she only has sex with Lena in chapter 8. Alternatively you could let Ivy have her way with Holly and just block her involvement with Mark, but there's no guarantees that the game will give the player another opportunity to get Lena and Holly together in a romantic relationship.

The game describes holly_change in its files as "Holly wants to be like Lena" so yeah, thinking of it as "corruption" is just a mistake of applying a concept from other games to something quite different.

Still assault, and boiling hot coffee can be just as bad. You can blind someone, permanently disfigure them, cause permanent nerve damage, it's assault for a reason.

Yeah, I've done those variable paths. I guess with where the game is at right now I don't know if what I want is possible, since it just ends on a cliff hanger either direction with Holly at chapter 10. Holly's story needs to progress more in order to find out.

3. When she threw a drink in Seymore's face.
She splashed beer on his suit, not his face. Like yeah she did it on purpose to cause Seymour some grief, but the amount of people equating this to assault or some reprehensible form of violence that would warrant police intervention are either misremembering it or super out of touch with reality.

At most the bar owner could ask Emma to leave, or Seymour could take it to civil court for damages and/or harassment, but the fact even an egomaniac like him didn't do it should be telling enough of how ridiculous that would be.

Quite a bit did get in his face, and it is assault. It's probably the lowest on the scale, and would be a misdemeanor at worse, but it still is. Seymore is smart enough to know that Emma doesn't have enough to pay him back in damages if he did take her to court, which is why he didn't make a bigger deal out of it.

That reminded me about a TV show called The Shield, there was this guy who robbed stores by splashing hot coffee on the tellers and robbing the cash register.
He was arrested later in the show for assault and robbery

Some guy in Ohio did that same thing just two years ago to the day almost.

I think I mixed Assault with battery, where I live they are the same thing(legally and language wise), but still spilling shit on somebody is illegal and violent and Emma is a little violent cunt for doing it.

Quite a bit did get in his face
There is absolutely nothing to indicate that it did. Dialogue from the scene:
Code:
play sound "sfx/splash.mp3"
    mr "...!" with vpunch
    "Mr. Ward's expensive suit got completely soaked when someone spilled a whole glass of beer on him."
    "Intentionally."
    $ fseymour = "serious"
    hide seymour
    show seymour2
    with short
    mr "What the...?!"
    show ian at left with move
    show emma at lef3 with short
    e "You have some nerve showing your face around here!"
    $ flena = "worried"
    $ fian = "disgusted"
    i "Emma!"
    mr "Who the hell are you?"
    e "You don't know me, but I know you very well!"
    e "You're the guy who's extorting people out of their homes and businesses!"
    e "You and your crooked friends are the ones fucking up the city's economy with your unethical practices!"
    mr "I see. So you're one of those noisy peasants that insist on sparking public unrest with your ideologically misguided protests and propaganda."
    e "You're the only one here with a misguided ideology. And you dare walk into this place after threatening these people's livelihoods."
    e "Well, you're not welcome here."
    mr "I won't waste my breath trying to argue against such a dull interpretation of my persona and business enterprises. But know that your rude attitude speaks volumes about your moral standing."
    e "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! This is nothing compared to what your bunch is putting people through!"
    e "Do I have to pour another beer on that fancy suit of yours to make you understand you're not welcome here?"
    mr "Pretending to be the spokesperson for all these people can bring trouble upon you, and also them."
    mr "I'd watch out if I were you."
    $ fseymour = "n"
    "Seymour turned to face me."
    mr "In light of this... unpleasant inconvenience, I'll be taking my leave. Let's talk another time, Lena."

As a criminal case it would most likely just get thrown out, there was no harm done except perhaps very lightly to Seymour's moral integrity. Without further continuation or escalation it would be difficult to even claim harassment or stalking.

And in terms of civil liability, c'mon Emma is not THAT broke. Even if you got the biggest weasel of a lawyer, you'd hardly get more than the value of the suit in reparations. Moral damages would also be minimal.

Other than the obvious stain on his face, yea, there was no indication. As a criminal case, seeing as how she admitted to doing it, threatened to do it again, in front of witnesses, and could argue that it damaged the suit, so you could add vandalism, it wouldn't be hard to win that if he did pursue it. Speaking as someone who has had someone spit in my face and technically no harm was done from it, it's still a criminal matter.

She works in retail in what everyone says is a bad economy and she intentionally stained a very expensive suit, not to mention the legal fees. That's $10,000 at least. Seymore just outright says she's not worth the effort, which is why Emma doesn't get in serious trouble.

Haha, you are right here.

I think I was mostly focused on the text when going through that scene so I didn't even see how insanely big the stain was in the sprite. I still think the way it is described in the text fits the scene better, with it just mostly soaking his suit (there wasn't even any mention of him getting a napkin to clean his face or anything like that, did he just go home with beer dripping from his forehead?) but I understand where people are coming from now.
