I think the game is a few releases away from being finished, with each update eva forces the player to commit more and more to a singular path. Even with playboy play through (no commitment, just fun with all girls) lots of girls leave ian, forcing on an increasingly narrow path. This dwindling of possible path is sign game is almost complete.
