Simply talking about content break-down. A LOT of the in game content allows for the cuckoldry fantasy. Ian is physically smaller/weaker than the other men as a design intent. He is decidedly middling in a lot of ways as a design intent. He gets funneled into very specific routes and doesn't get much limelight with the gals. Meanwhile Lena can fuck anything that moves while still being with him. He has what, around 40% fewer scenes than Lena and a bunch of the scenes on his route are just him watching Jeremy's conquests?

Sure he can also be played in a way that fulfills the self-insert fantasy of the average Joe overcoming their deficiencies, rising to the occasion, and making the best with the gifts God gave them ect. The game focuses on passion, romance, technique, and stamina as equalizers for him being average in other ways.

His story as a writer is pretty cool.

Doesn't change the content break-down or his design much though. Game is much more suitable for cuck Ian than it is for an empowered Ian.

It's a game - not reality - what's a point of adding stats, if those have little impact on the outcomes. And if, despite the stats, player character has to loose - it's because plot needs it - because story requires it. In the beginning of the game Ian was not depicted as out of shape slob - he was already going to the gym for some time already (though he was not doing martial arts seriously before that moment yet)

He's supposed to have some flexibility- but he is designed like one on a lot of levels. He's not a very satisfying male MC.

Too tiny and he doesn't get good scene content. The game is mostly focused on Lena and corruption. The men who can cuck him are larger, more attractive, have better scene content, and awful personalities. He has one 3some in the game and it is sharing Allison with one of them. A lot of his content is jerking it to pics of better men fucking his potential LI. If he shows interest in more than one woman he basically gets kicked out of their route content. Hell, every rotation one of his scenes is literally just the same art as two other generic male characters who can get swapped out for him.

Game is heavily focused on Lena. Ian is an afterthought- and he looks like a little bitch.

In games, books, movies or other plot driven stories main enemies often fall in the end game. Defeating them at this early stage of game doesn't make sense.

Not that I agree with the take that Ian is a pussy no matter the route, but there are official NPC stat cards.

Of course, the more atheletic guy is not going to win a fight 100% of the time, and these NPC cards are from way earlier in the story. Someone like Jeremy is also training, probably more than Ian, so he's gonna improve his abilities which already started at a higher point.

You do realize that's because if Eva is a woman or not doesn't matter.
Not even getting into the whole trans thing, keep that out of it people. Even if Eva is pretending to be a woman and is in fact a man. (yes that has happened before trans was even a thing go figure)
It doesn't matter. I never saw this witchhunt happen, but questioning the state of Eva's gender is not really something that has any bearing on what happens in the game and you getting flack for that makes sense.
You have full control of Lena within the scope of the story that is being told. The core story is the core story and you chose what happens to Lena within that.
If you had full control of Lena and there was countless more options the game would still be on v3 with twice the size and this game is already massive and really hard for Eva to tie everything together both in story and coding.
While I don't agree with some stuff Eva has done, the game is amazing overall.
Also Lena was working as a nude model before she even met Ian. So you have to consider that she is quite liberal with showing off to begin with, she was basically Axels sex slave which she also enjoyed as well. Lena was never a saint, now you can make her more pure from the start if you want and have her only do stuff with Ian and that's a perfectly fine way to play the game too. I prefer Lena doing everything and everyone but that's just me, I don't care about Ian, i think it's wasted dev time to focus too much on him, but the holly part of his story is great. I love holly.
Cindy is great too but I don't like her boyfriend at all, it would be better if he wasn't actually their friend but Cindy was instead and he just existed and Cindy shared her frustrations about him instead.
