What she or anyone else is doing is mainly a stop-gap though. It allows you to create, what you want on the cheap, without needing to pay real actors and actresses. I'll see what people will prefer if they can choose between games that are very similar content wise but one looks actually real and the other uses 2D or 3D arts like ORS or the Daz games we have now.
It really isn't as easy as that, since you rarely have just one person on every single render. Maybe you could use some photo of them as the paper doll, but for every scene you would need to use the same actors and actresses for the same character or it would be weird. So you would now need someone that could be "Ian" and someone that could be "Lena" and they not only need to have enough scenes with each other but also with other people that could than be the other characters who also need to have interaction with each other...
You also need to find fitting photos or you have to write your story around the photos that you can get, reducing your freedom for the writing process. With AI you could have the same looking characters do whatever you want in whatever environment you choose without any potential legal repercussions and they would all look like real people in real environments. We'll see if almost every game will at one point go that path or if more "artsy" approaches by people that are actually able to do them will remain.

New progress update posted. Can't read it all, but the preview line mentions Ian can text with some people in the ch. 12 epilogue now.

It isn't the Cindy bj pics that were added to the game is it? Those had the phone interface as a frame.
I like the game in general.
The art is quite good. The story is interesting. Perry is annoying as fuck. Honestly, guys like that just cause problems and I would never have them as a roommate and would pretty much avoid them in life. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut or maybe he thinks by opening his mouth he can break up your relation and get with Lena. No matter the excuse having people like that around is a no go in life.
Playing the two perspectives is ok. But in truth it causes more problems than it makes good.
Male MC. You know how Lena was hurt. So you can effectively play him two ways a scum bag who will do exactly what the last BF she had did and end up risking the relationship. That or you play the good BF. I guess you could try and make it a fairly open relationship but there isn't a clear set rout on that path because even if you choose the experiment path over the love path you are still hit with the question from her about cheating with Cindy.
While that is going on you also play Lena. Who you can play as the GF or effectively a slut of varying degrees. She can cheat but then she gets upset that the Male MC hooks up with Cindy.
Those two paths can conflict with each other. You can make the Male MC a devoted BF and Lena the Slut from hell GF who cheats every which way or another. You could also make the BF the cheater and Lena the good girl. But doing so these stories start having issues. Yep, I played it more than once checking out as many routes as I could Which means I have a hell of a lot of saves.
To some extent I would rather see the two views played separately.
I think Lena story would work as a great corruption story or fight against corruption. It would be fun to play a story where you have to do your best to find the route to survive without compromising yourself. But that would also allow a full corruption route system to be played as well. It could be done with effectively ZERO grinding.
I think the Male MC story line would be better also separated in some respects.
As for the story line with the two of them together.
A cooperative story line where they work together to survive and figure out to what degree they will and won't compromise obviously that being the players choice would be good.
A Story where the Male tries to corrupt Lena. Is another good option in.
The male mc being the antagonist of the female would be a good storyline
Another would be Lena just tries to get away with whatever she can behind the MC males back without him knowing.
You could also do it so Lena throws it in his face and come up with a reason he can't just leave.
You could also do the last one where she has acted that way for a long time and he turns it around on her.
But as of right now there is two much noise in the story. It detracts from the two of them having a connection.
Which with all the possible ways the story can go creates weak points in the story.
I'm not saying it can't be fixed but it would require writing thousands of scenes and a but load of dialog for those scenes.
It is effectively like you created 8000 stories and wrote about 20% of the required story and expect it to hold together as it is.
The other option is start moving some of the other content into side paths to be explored but in a way they don't directly link into the story or interfere.

Doubt it. I can't see EK justifying Cindy sending those to Ian at this stage in the story on such short notice.

I'm not sure about the 2 MC concept either, since I feel conflicted about the choices, I would normally take...which...you know...is the point of it, I guess.
I'm trying to play a normal run, in which both (hopefully) get together happily (if that is even possible), even if that leaves a lot of scenes on the wayside. And after that I will do a horrible run in which both are just the worst sluts, I guess.
For me the problems of the game are rather that almost all characters are kinda unlikable. I mean Ian and Lena can be somewhat guided, but the rest? Like Emma is the only one I could actually see myself hanging out with myself...well and the shy version of Holly, I guess...
And the game suffers from a rather acute case of "small world syndrome".

A while ago I did aYou must be registered to see the linksasking you what lewd content would you like to see more of in the upcoming developments of ORS. One of the main reasons I did it was because developing and planning the scenes is becoming increasingly important and time-consuming: at the beginning, it was easy to write them and keep the dynamics progressing, but we’ve got quite a few under our belts now, and the game has passed its midway point, so there aren’t that many left to create.
Additionally, the production value of the scenes has grown, with more rounds of editing in the illustrations, animations, cosmetic options, and code variables to consider. That’s why I’m aiming for the scenes I choose to include now to feel more unique and varied, and sometimes it’s challenging to make that happen. So I wanted to know which scenarios you’d like to see realized before the game reaches its conclusion.
The results of the poll were quite surprising!
I didn't expect "public/risky sex" to be the most voted option! I’ve already included a few scenes of this type (especially in public restrooms, which are easy to incorporate in many contexts), but that’s not always the case. However, I’ll try to think of ways to include more scenes like this. I already have a few ideas (I just finished drawing one for the next chapter that I think will make an impact), but I’m interested to hear what scenarios you guys can think of, and see if any might inspire me
The second most voted was "prostitution" (you dirty bastards). In hindsight, I should've used the term "sex work", which you could consider Stalkfap as. That's the route where Lena can exchange her sex-appeal for money (and the Seymour one, depend on how you play it), and you can expect further development on those (and possbily another little surprise down the line too).
I was also surprised "MMF Threesome" beat the FFM one, but I guess it makes sense since we've had a few of those already, and very few of the former (involving Alison mainly). Don't worry, if you've played the latest chapters you can see the game is setting up for it, and there will definetely be plenty content for that. The hardest thing about it is coming up with which character combinations to use, and how to implement them in the narrative. There's quite a few possibilites...
I knew "BBC/size queen" would be high, and that's a kink that's already supported in the game through a few characters. I'll try to add some more variety, but I feel the ones wanting to see these kind of scenes should find what they're looking for.
With the Holly Trinity now rolling, you can expect more "FFM Threesome" scenes incoming! I also have some ideas of different pairings I definetely want to include, and hopefully surprise you with some of them.
"Cuckolding" edged slightly "Maledom/hardcore". The first has a dedicated route through Lena and Ian, and although there are plenty of interesting ideas to delve deeper into this concept, for now, I think I’ve developed it as much as I can manage. I had to set aside some ideas because I needed to dedicate time and space to all the other narrative branches, and sometimes I worry I’m not fully tapping into its potential, but that’s just how it goes... That said, I’m committed to continuing this storyline, even if I can’t give it the full depth it truly deserves
I’m glad to see that many people enjoy the "Romantic sex" scenes on the sunnier side of the story. Sometimes, it’s challenging to make them feel as exciting as the others, but my goal is for them to be just as rewarding, if not more, than the grittier scenes.
About "Lesbian" content, sometimes I feel that it'is underused, and I’d like to give them more space and importance. But I have to admit, these are some of the most challenging scenes for me to write, and it’s hard to keep them varied without quickly falling into hardcore tropes that have little to do with an authentic lesbian relationship. In any case, you can expect to continue seeing them through the game!
The fringe content got the least votes, so I'll only sprinkle those here and there and will always be optional for the player. "Feet" came in last, which I found a bit sad after having put all that effort in the feet scene in chapter 12
