It was only gonna be every 2 months for early chapters where variables and storylines weren't this many.
Ian doesn't have any storylines with Ed and Stan, and his interaction with Perry is part of the main storyline, so I'm not sure what you're expecting Eva to cut. Ian could have a friendship path with Axel, which would work well with a chad Ian in need of a new circle of bro friends, including Jeremy, after he potentially leaves Wade and Perry behind (like if/when they discover he's been fucking Cindy and/or Emma), so cutting it wouldn't be a good idea.
Not nearly four months, today is exactly four months since Eva Kiss released Ch.8 Alpha. In hindsight, she shouldn't have promised an update every two months because it was always too optimistic for such an ambitious project. If she doesn't make a status update this week to announce the release date, the update will certainly be coming in the first half of October.
I count the Alpha versions because that's the versions I play, like most people here. I have never said anything about Eva Kiss' work ethic or the amount of work she and her team put between updates and update versions.
.Like others have mentioned, you basically need to man up and piss off Minerva at every opportunity you get.
You can choose between switching books with Holly or writing an honest review, and both have their perks. Switching books gives you 2 additional wit points and 2 relationship points with Victor (that dude who later can show an interest in hiring Ian to write for his magazine), while an honest review gives you 3 charisma points. I guess it depends on what way you want to go with Ian - get some additional charisma or get a head-start on good relations with a potential future employer in Victor.
ambitious project? GGGB - certainly, but ORS more like a not particularly interesting cheap TV series when compared to the author's previous work. The new project is highlighted only by drawing. Of course, it's just my imho.
We are almost halfway through the game, it doesn't make any sense to remove supporting characters who are crucial to the story.
You're dreaming if you think ORS isn't ambitious, especially in comparison to GGGB.
Nice comparisons visually, but I feel like most of them don't quite fit the characters. Lena and Cindy look too young (very pretty, but kind of too innocent and simple?), especially compared to Ivy who is meant to be the same age as Lena but looks heaps older (I freaking love her hair though. Gorgeous!). Louise doesn't look emo at all, although the model you picked for her is stunning. Holly and Allison are pretty good fits though - Holly especially is cute af, and really similar.
The update duration will only increase from now on. Vacation aside, I guess updates will take 3-4 months going forward because of too many game paths. This is arguably the biggest flaw in the dual protagonist system, yes it might make the story more interactive but it will also increase the work overhead going forward. You can see why EvaKiss is a bit hesitant to make Ian more customizable, because Lena will already have like 10 permutations for a lot of scenes based on tattoos and clothes.
