Ooooooh, I just realized that's the new redesign for Stan. Honestly, I thought it was another fanart thing since we were talking about it recently after a series of photoshop Stans.
I thought it was a joke. Like, for reals. ^^'

Yeah, that redesign is a yikes from me to me and it might be the clothes and the ponytail but he looks like a socially awkward incel now vs a socially awkward nerd. I honestly have no idea what she was thinking with that look like good gawd it's so bad like everything she was going for was missed by miles and I am usually positive dude but this right here is horrid.
TBH old Stan was better looking with a much cleaner looking haircut. Giving him long hair just makes him look dirtier and more of a slob.
Like I said there was no need for a redesign. I do question the thought behind this creative decision. Was the intention to make Stan look even more of a nerd? If so Eva has passed with flying colours. Kudos to her. This gives Louise even more fodder to attack Stan with

New Stan looks like the dude who would sneer at you if he found out you actually prefer Windows to Linux.
This is why you don't redesign a character halfway through. If this was Stan's original design there would be no problem.

Maybe. But I'm not keen on his new puppy-dog eyes. It makes me worry he's going to become a male Holly, which I think would be a mistake. (Not because a male Holly would be a bad thing, just because the game already has Holly and Stan needs to be distinctive for more than his anatomy.) Hope for the best, I suppose.

Though I don't like the new Stan at all, I do understand Eva. As Stan is most likely finally going to get some action, the old Stan just looks way out league for Lena whereas the new Stan is much more handsome:
Also, the storyline regarding Stan and Lena doesn't support any action between them, rather Lena feels her more like a close friend at most.
I understand the change but at this point I think they're a bad call.

New Stan is fine and definitely more fuckable than old stan

Truthfully, I liked Stan's original design better. A better haircut and clothing choices would do wonders for him. The ponytail with what looks like dark eyeliner just makes him look odd to me. I am thankful he will get more attention in the story though.

Preferences! As long as Eva establishes Lena has an attraction to Stan than it works. Plus Lena's character doesn't strike me as somebody who's so shallow she thinks about whether she's "out of a dude's league". I don't think Eva was trying to make him more handsome, because he facial features are still the literal same, he just looks less like he's about to cry and more like he's "chillin"(she gave him a smile, opened up his eyes a bit more, and brought his potrait closer to the camera). I think the change has more to do with the changes she's made to his personality.
Now i'm wondering if Stan might be more into music now than before. Ppl have pointed out "yet another photogropher" wouldn't really help him stand out from the rest, so Eva might be giving him a passion for music as a unique way for him and Lena to connect, since it's so intimate for her. Could be interesting, dont' think any other of Lena's LIs have as much of a passion for music as she does.
