And if Emma has no problem keeping secrets, then things with Holly and Cindy will get out of control sooner or later.
Secondly, the characters have a life of their own and don't wait for Ian to jump on them, so while he's busy with Lena or someone else, they may find other interests or simply be unavailable for various reasons. Therefore, choices that force you to choose between two LIs fit well with the principles of this particular game.
Thirdly, in terms of game mechanics, different girls may need different skills in different situations, which can also complicate.
Well, and the element of "realism". Not everyone is comfortable with an open/double relationship.

Of course Holly. As far as the path itself, for now it's enough to romance Lena and maintain a good relationship with Holly. Maybe this book fair kissing drama is also a necessary condition for a future threesome.

I get it and but some girls do interact with each other romantically or in a horny way themselfs. I mean since you can choose that Lena masturbates thinking about Holly while still having feelings for Ian it would be totally possible if the three of them would get together. I mean Holly loves Ian and i could see her potentially getting on with Lena too.

Lena/Louise/Ian could be possible too even if it would be sexually if Lena would ask Louise. I think she would say yes.

Therefor i still have hope for Ian/Lena/Holly.

How we reach the throuple route is still unknow because at the moment none of them is ready for a poly relationship. The best guess right now, i think, is keep Holly close both to Ian and Lena, protect her from Ivy and maybe make Ian and Lena being a couple in a open relationship

There is no reason for a throuple situation to be impossible. Girls can fuck other girls all they want, because people for some reason consider lesbian sex "not real", or something. Lena can fuck the other girls and Ian would probably be okay with it, Alison wants a threesome with Jeremy and that's okay, Cindy cheats on Wade with Ian, but Ian can't have two girls?

That's horseshit. In most games/visual novels there is this underlying problem: girls can fuck with other girls and it's okay. Guys can't.

Well, Ian can kiss and have sex with Holly if he went with her to the book fair. If he is dating Lena, she will get pissed and will break with him. If he only kiss Holly, Lena will be mad but can forgive Ian sometime later. And if Ian just kiss Holly, he will say to her that he and Lena are dating and he have feelings for Lena, but he have feelings for Holly too. And Holly seems like to know that Ian like her. And Lena can want kiss Holly in the end of chapter 8, which will make she be aware of the attraction she have for Holly. So my guess is that the throuple can happen if Ian and Lena become a open-couple and in the future realize that they have feelings for the same person: Holly.

I think that if Lena defended her independence and refused, then Seymour will try to get close to her through Ian who works with him. But if he is romantically involved with Lena, he may be able to build a partnership with Seymour, showing his qualities and strengths that will come in handy in Seymour's business and somehow not give him too many opportunities to influence the situation with Lena. I see Ian as the administrator of one of Seymour's establishments, sort of a "negotiator" for him (for example, with old perverts like Agnes or something less corrupted) or doing something in Hierofant.

That sounds like a plausible way for it to happen. Though it would still limit Ian to being a pawn in Seymour's game, at least in the beginning. And is it likely that Seymour will ever admit defeat in his pursuit of Lena, as long as Ian has a relation to her? Not necessarily.

I guess the alternative is that Seymour really tries to destroy Lena's life, as he threatened to — and that he somehow also tries to get Ian to help him. Either through being open about what he's doing, or through pretending to have good intentions, and somehow tricking Ian into helping him without understanding the consequences of what he's doing.

Let's say Ian and Lena decides to be in a relationship, and Lena then sleeps with Axel immediatelly afterwards, while she rejects Seymour. If Ian finds out about Lena and Axel, and Seymour then offers him lots of money to help him make Lena's life uncomfortable, it would give him a reason to choose Seymour's side, with Lena being on the other side. It would be petty of him, but still.

Generally I like the idea of Ian and Lena ending up as kind of enemies, through how they decide to relate to Seymour. And considering they both had the chance to cheat immediately after the relationship talk, I get the feeling there will be chances for their relationship to end incredibly bad way before the end of the story.

And yes, as several others have noted, Seymour is an intolerable, self-righteous asshole. I don't like him as a person at all. But I absolutely think he's good for the story (or at least he could be, it's still a bit early to pass a final judgement).

Edit: And regarding the picture in Eva's latest Patreon post: The file name is actually "v4_seymour4.png", so I guess that removes any remaining doubt about what scene it's taken from.
