I just noticed something, Ian's dad has a striking resemblance to Jordan Peterson.
Dad: "Ian, I won't send over the additional allowance that you've asked for. You've got to earn it, you've got to stand up straight with your shoulders back"

I"m still kinda miffed that Ian needs to want to work with seymour to fuck Minerva. I would much rather prefer if Ian can fuck Minerva without ever wanting to work with seymour
Well, he doesn't know the extent of Seymour's evil. It makes sense for him to want to get chummy with a huge name in the industry. There will certainly be a choice later on how to proceed when Ian finds out what Seymour really is about.

I'm lucky to have jumped in after the remaster lol. Chapter 9 set off all the best plotlines. I feel for people who has to wait so long to see what's coming next.

That's where you're wrong. ORS is not a porn game, but an adult game with some pornish clichés and tropes. Because it's not sex-driven, but plot- and relationship-driven, so the game is valued more for Eva's writing and writing skills than the sex scenes. And anyone looking for that would have to wade through tons of text or use the gallery. Sorry for a minute of nerdiness.
Incorrect! ORS is an Erotic Visual Novel, it exist within that boundary of having to little mechanics to be called a game, but too much interactivity to be called striaght up Book/Comic.

That said, the player is playing both sides, so if you go for the BBC, you probably wanted that cheating, morality reprehensible relationship. If you want Ian to come out on top and be a smart, confident, successful dude, you should not have made Lena do that.
Not necessarily. Some might just want Lena to be a slut with chads Ian and Jeremy filling Lena's holes in a devil's threesome (which Lena can fantasize about). These complex decisions can't really be interpreted in one obvious way. I can also present a counter-point that uses the same logic as yours (supported by canon): If you want to commit and be together with Ian in a serious relationship (let's remember that both Ian and Lena have issues with cheating partners), you shouldn't have slept with Jeremy a.k.a. Ian's friend who is known to have a code for not sleeping with bros' girlfriends. There's a clear writing on the wall that this choice has negative consequences for Ian x Lena just like there is for Ian pursuing Cindy or Lena fucking Axel or agreeing to be Seymour's toy.

And like someone said, that's also assuming you're playing this game on your own, instead of playing it with your gf who has a completely separate playstyle and agency from yours, and you, playing as Ian, might not have wanted for Ian to turn into Eric because of your gf's decisions. And while that's not the designed way to play the game, I think the game should still treat Ian's and Lena's agency separately and not assume that the player has one grand plan for both.

Even if you're playing by yourself, the ability to roleplay as Ian and Lena differently creates amazing opportunities to direct an interesting story. So I think it's fine when the choices you make for one protagonist, can then result in a consequence that deprives you of agency for the same protagonist later (like Ian falling in love with Lena not being able to commit to Alison or Holly). But it's not really immersive if making a choice for one of the protagonist, removes agency for another. Which is why I think Ian-Holly-Lena drama was so controversial, because players wanted to roleplay as Ian and Lena in their own way, but worst of all, it was NPC's decision (Holly's aka Eva's) that deprived both Ian and Lena from agency to handle that situation in a mature way.

There is just no 2 ways about it. If you give a choice in the matter to Ian, it WILL create a route where he finds out. That will lead to shattered friendship and broken up couple. This will affect a huge chunk of the game. I'm just saying that this part of the equation could be as delayed as possible so that the story can more or less go on without much adjustment. The players will get the Lena x Jeremy that they opted in for without leading to massive changes in the character relationships. It could just be addressed by conditional flavor text. The player could make a series of decisions as Ian throughout, I dunno, 6 chapters or whatever. It could be ian_jeremy_suspect or something. If you reached the max by the end, the reckoning happens. If you reached something in the middle, he might be a little suspicious but choose to believe. If you get low or no points, he could be oblivious.
That would be the ideal solution, but also creates a LOT of additional work (as I already mentioned, it would ruin friendship with Jeremy and block Alison / Emma sharing routes or make them toxic, with Jeremy fucking them anyway on the side), and not at all ideal for Eva's gardener style of writing and requires planning a lot of chapters ahead to start fleshing out the route as early as possible. Maybe once Eva has fewer branches to worry about, there might be another smaller revision down the line / DLC that would include that branch, but for now it's important for Eva to stay focused on already established routes and not lose track of them (which requires yours truly to untangle the mess of variables and keep track of all the branches). So if Eva excluded that path for now, it's for clear reasons and is part of the planning to continue releasing the chapters in 3 month window.
Will u be updating the walkthrough to reflect the changes in the remastered version?
Yes, of course, but that requires time to revise everything so you'll have to be patient.
Was Stan really reworked? he is still a creep tbh. Not that I care I never liked his character that much anyway.
Nobody promised that he'll turn into a completely different character in the revision, but every single interaction with him has been reworked and expanded upon.

Believe me, I know exactly what you are saying regarding MC agency in their own respective sides and the general coding complexity of a Jeremy x Lena situation. That said, my point still stands. If someone wanted to go for a wholesome threesome sharing with Ian x Jeremy x Lena, it wouldn't make sense for Lena to be played as a BBC fantasizing, Jeremy blowing, betrayer. Concievably, there might be someone who compartmentalizes the 2 MCs and play as if they didn't know what's going on on the other side, but that still leads to the same conundrum. How will Ian react to the fact that Lena sexted Jeremy and gave him a sloppy BJ? If he finds out, there will certainly be a significant branching decision.

To be frank, we already did give Ian a say in the matter. His good relationship with Jeremy and confiding in him were his influence that could have stopped the Lena BJ. It's just that Lena also has a say in the matter and was able to overturn Ian's influence with a will point. In an Ian vs Lena situation like this, someone has to come out on top.

This is all something that already happened. So we have to think about the best way to give players what they want going forward while still being mindful of the routing bloat. It would be nice to give Ian the option to find out very soon to not deprive him of his agency, but that is precisely the thing that will lead to a major branch that touches a lot of other parts of the game as well. That's why I was advocating for a prolonged Lena x Jeremy secret cheating so that this branching decision doesn't have to occur too early. My argument for depriving Ian of his chance to do something about this was that this already happened under the player's watch. Lena already betrayed him when she gave the BJ and sexted with Jeremy. And the player wanted this to happen. So it doesn't seem like a stretch that this player would enjoy more Lena x Jeremy cheating stuff.

Circling back to your first paragraph, I wanna respond to your counter-point. Ian x Lena couple still makes sense on all 3 cheating Lena routes that is in the game or being set up. Axel has that power over her due to her training at his hands when they were together. She's been having dreams and such despite herself. Seymour obviously has the financial and authoritative influence over her. And Jeremy is an unrealized secret kink she's been building up for a while now. Jeremy is the weakest condenser for "cheating against her will" for sure, but it can still make sense that she just couldn't win out against her fantasy. Now someone like Robert and Mike would need to be addressed. She is proactive in pursuing these relationships that have no real power over her, so it puts her commitment to Ian in question if she wants to continue seeing them (because we couldn't really excuse it as a mistake).

I think Ian's side has more issues in this regard. Cindy could be argued to be kind of an infatuation that was building up, but Alison... hmmm.

And finally, are we to believe that cheating was not something that was explicitly planned? Would she immediately break up with Ian because of her guilt after the Axel situation? I'm curious to see how things play out, but somehow, I feel like cheating will be one of the core routes on the Ian x Lena couple...
