Interesting discussions! But we have to remember that keeping all relationship permutations straight is problematic for Eva, it is easy to overlook something. Just take Ian. My personal favourites among the girls for him are Alison, Lena and Holly. Just with these 3 it can get complicated.
Alison and Ian have history and feelings for each other they did not knew they had or did not recognise before. They can be in a comitted relationship, a non-comitted relationship, a comitted relationship with willing threesome exploration or a comitted relationship with cautious threesome exploration. Currently Ian can still pursue Lena and7or Holly on a couple variant paths. Even Cherry, Cindy, Emma and Minerva. Some of them at once or in exclusion.
And this path maze gets larger with Lena´s options. She can pursue Ian, Robert, Mike, Axel, Jeremy, Lousie, Holly, Stan and Seymour, partly at the same time or exclusive. If Ian and Lena are not in totally comitted relationships, the various "side relations", esp. fuck buddies, are many. No wonder that Eva needs time to straighten this out and still might overlook one or two variants.

I'm thinking here that episode 10 is still a long time to wait and there is nothing to do anyway, so you can revive the thread. Therefore, I made the top most hated characters in the game. It will be big, because there are a lot of annoying and unpleasant personalities in Our Red String! I have never met so many people in one game who pissed me off.
From least annoying to most disgusting:
10. Alison. I don't understand what's wrong with this girl. She is very intrusive, to the point that she almost rushes at Ian. Likes to interrupt other people's conversations and be the center of attention. Too focused on her problems, judgmental (Moment with Perry discussing trans-porn). In sex, she kills the mood and overreacts when Ian tries anal or cums inside her. Clicking on the fire options in Alison's scenes is not always a good idea. And yes, why does this lady look like a MILF at 27? I always skip Alison for Jeremy and prefer the more relaxed and easy-going Cherry

He is still young, but already looks like a 40+ man who is tired of everything in life and his interests are beer while watching football on TV and drinking with friends in a bar. Dude! Axel is a sadistic and control freak, Lena is his slave in this scenario. Lena's Will points burning down to zero and no matter how many of them were in stock confirm this theory.

This man is the main trouble of the city in the game. He buys out and bankrupts businesses with Parry's father, the city's mayor. He pulls the strings like a puppeteer, deciding the fate of people. For example, the situation with Lena. He fires Lena from his restaurant, blocks her opportunities to work in the modeling business. Seymour does this with one goal - to get Lena for himself personally. And he does it like a maniac. He threatens to ruin Ian and Lena's lives, blackmails them. He even threatens to block her Insta and Onlyfans (I think he is overplaying, social networks are too big a fish for Seymour, and as far as we know, he is just a city oligarch). This is a terrible person and I can imagine what is going on in his head. The scene at the end of episode 9 with Seymour is the second one, after Axel, that causes dislike. Of course, I'm interested to know how things will turn out if Lena signs a contract with Seymour. For players who choose this option, Seymour's true face is not revealed in all its glory. I will leave this option, but it will never be canon for me. My canon - Seymour Ward is sentenced to 25 years in prison for corrupt deals, blackmail and extortion, sexual assault. Get ready, Seymour. The vacant Harvey Wahnstein job is waiting for you.

Of course all characters have their own personality. This is one of the most developed games in terms of character personalities. Therefore, they can be discussed, loved or hated, criticized. First off, the real person on your list, Nietzsche. Friedrich Nietzsche might not be my top philosopher and has some contrarian, discussionworthy ideas, but that you equate him solely with Nazism is disappointing and shows mainly that you do not get his basic tenets at all!
I do not want to go into a full-blown philosophy discussion due to fictional characters in a porn game at this time in the evening, so let us keep it like this, that we have different opinions about Nietzsche, but it had to be said!
Alison has her flaws and on some I agree with you. But she is less a mood killer in bed than you believe, depends very much how you play their romance or fuckbuddyness. And what we should not forget, unlike Cherry and Co. Alison is not a cheater, has some real problems in her life to overcome (unlike many others of the cast with inflated "problems") and is among the few characters in the game who has real feelings for Ian. She should definitely NOT be on a "disgusting" list!
Wade could definitely do more out of his life, but part of it is sucked out by being with this nag Cindy. I do not get why she is this liked. While Wade certainly needs a kick in the butt to get his act back together and has some serious responcibility how his relationship is on the rocks, when we look at Cindy beyond her looks, she is very high-maintainance, opiniated like few others of the characters, let herself easily blind by flattery and prone to cheating. While Wade´s couchpotatoness did not help one bit, we see the real Cindy soon after with the games competition. For Wade it is the only chance to take part and it is one of the things which is important to him and can get him get his groove back on, but what does Cindy do? She cannot wait to run to Axel! Wade should not be on your disgusting list too.
On Louise I agree mostly. I pity her, but she is a friend Lena could do without.
Minerva is a boss nobody needs. Abusive and using her position for a reign of bureau terror.
Robert I think was meant at game start to be an average guy who might get a decent development, but it misfired how he turned out.
Agnes I agree is a bit too elitist and used to get her way.
On Stan I disagree with you. Stan might have his cringe moments, but unlike many other characters in the game he is not aggressive or wants to bash others selfworth or worse. He leans more towards border eccentric and odd than creep. He is definitely not a creep. For me as a non-native english speaker, creepy translates to something like nasty, eerie or spooky, which Stan is not. Is there a something of a definition mismatch how the English-speakers use creepy?
On Perry I agree with you. Wade might be phlegmatic and a couch potato, but is a friend to Ian. Perry might be a friend too, but his social skills are worse than Stan´s! Even the "Quaintmaster" has more social awareness and finesse than Perry and that says much!
Axel is an a... and might even be on the way to psychopath, "nuff said".
On Seymour, I love a good antagonist and when we look at Eva´s first game, where we had some developments among the characters, his antagonist status might even change a bit, depending on how we play the game.

The one who is really close with this one is Lust Campus by Redlolly, but that game is in the remakes from 0 at this moment and if i remember correctly, chapter 1 will be released at the end of this month, the story is not as complex as ORS, but its still goodI hope it's okay to ask here, but can someone recommend me other game devs who make games of this quality? From your post, i know you are a person who want a game that the story is vanilla, like pure normal romance with many romantic character, cuz you hate most of the character that in ORS... but again, thats not the target for this game, people who likes vanilla story rarely played this kind of game and even visit this site, they will choose to read romantic novel than playing this kind of game, if indie dev target only this specific audience, their game will not even get many supports, cuz people who play this kind of game had their own fetishes, and majorly doesnt really likes vanilla story... so the only way indie dev like Eva can do to had many patron is, she needs to included as many popular fetishes as possible to the game, so that her market can target more audience and let the player choose, what kind of fetishes that they want to play in the gameI'm thinking here that episode 10 is still a long time to wait and there is nothing to do anyway, so you can revive the thread. In sex, she kills the mood and overreacts when Ian tries anal or cums inside her. Clicking on the fire options in Alison's scenes is not always a good idea. He is still young, but already looks like a 40+ man who is tired of everything in life and his interests are beer while watching football on TV and drinking with friends in a bar. Dude! That's why she should quit her annoying job and become Ian's manager when he releases his book. And Alison might have an interesting convo with Ian's dad, who is preaching how good degree and stable job is important. Well, Alison is proof that you can do everything right and still not have a stable and satisfying job...

If Ian doesn't give a damn about his own parents basically disowning him, Perry can't do the same, because their opinion still matters to him. If they believed in him and showed their support, then he would turn out differently. The dude was basically a rockstar in high school. And he could probably be a famous singer by now if the rest of the band didn't bail on him, removing the one thing in his life he was good at and had passion for.

There are plenty of people paying for Vanilla kinked games or for games with a narrower kink portfolio. Many of those games earn big money. Go look at the top 50 games on Patreon - a majority of them have either a narrow kink scope and/or a hefty vanilla component.
I'd never patreon for ORS myself. Despite the fact that the several routes I do like are masterfully done- there are simply far too many routes I don't like at all. Paying for 30% or 40% content in a 6 month to a 1 year dev cycle sounds like a big rip-off.
Not saying ORS should change its jive. It is the 64th ranked game by number of patreons. But, I think you are grasping on straws when you are trying to claim that Vanilla isn't a popular kink amongst porn game consumers or that indie games 'have' to have wide kink portfolios to be successful- The data definitely doesn't support your claims.
