Mike is supposed to fill that "Dom Archetype" in the game (alongside Axel) and Ian can be played as any of the NPC Archetypes in the game (Cuckold = Stan, Dom = Axel, The One Who Cucks = Jeremy and etc) so you are definitely right here.

The only difference between the two and Axel is Axel's godly physique.

I'm not gonna tell you what to enjoy or not but a lot of the stuff you listed here really don't have much to do with "being Dom" or not. Ian is wimpy compared to the other men in this game- and he always will be. He cannot escape that- its just how he is built.

At the beginning of the game it is, he is an average guy with a personality bias in Wits, but as the game progresses, this can change in any direction and you can build your MC however you want. If you don't played GGGB, then you just don't know that in Eva games, the characters change beyond recognition during the game.
