Isn't Cherry Mike's unknown girlfriend?
It could be funny but the description from Mike is that his girlfriend is a regular and steady one.
Cherry describe her relationship with her "boyfriend" as an unsteady one. The way she describe it, IMO, it is experienced the same way by both of them.

But hey, I might be wrong and the world is indeed small. ;)

Ooh, Ian's ex could be a possibility!

Huh, so he flips out regardless of what Ian and Lena's relationship is like? If you don't do the drawing event something else has to come up to show this off down the line, it seems like Eva wants that relationship to not work.
You can't not do the life drawing event. It's mandatory. The difference is, it can happen in the cafe, or it can happen in the art gallery. And, if you're involved with Robert, his relationship is getting sorted in this Chapter. The main conflict with him is not that he gets jealous over Ian and Lena dating. It's all because of Perry. Robert acts like a dick to him and Ian regardless of Ian's choices. And so, Lena can forgive him and continue seeing him (but strictly as a friend with benefits, she shuts his attempts to start something serious down), or she can decide she had enough and break up with him. Thus, there's no need for alternative events for Robert.

Creating Our Red String's illustrations

I've been thinking about sharing with you guys more of what goes on with the creation of ORS's illustrations.

Anyways, this is the process I follow now, that you can see in these images: first I draw the line-work for the illustration, manually tracing over photo-reference for the pose and anatomy, imprinting my characters onto it. Not having to do the color work myself anymore, I can take more time with this step, making the drawing tighter and more refined, with cleaner and careful line-work.

Then I send it to Lenadai so she can work with it. First she blocks in the flat colors. That's where I would stop in GGGB, just adding a subtle color gradient to make the drawing look warmer and more interesting. But now, Lenadai defines the volumes, adding in highlights and shadows on the figure, making them stand out a lot more. The second image is what she sends back to me.

Then I give the image a third pass, some sort of post-production. This is a new step that I began using in the ending of GGGB: I don't know if you noticed, but the final illustrations from GGGB had an extra dimension to them: ambient light.

Using this quick and simple technique, I airbrush some colors to make the scene more interesting visually, more dramatic and and immersive. I also add extra shadows or rim-lights to the figures, and color-correct everything to make sure the colors don't look off or out of place. Usually I don't have time to polish those aspects as much as I'd like, but I think this ambient-lightning technique provides striking results, making the illustration really come to life. I also blend in the background in a more effective way now, while in GGGB the drawings had a transparent background, overlaying the static background image.
In this post from Dec, Evakiss went over some of the drawing process. Does anyone know (for sure, not just guessing) if she's tracing by hand and then scanning or if she's using a drawing tablet to trace images. Also curious if the dev's ever mentioned any software she uses to do retouching. Someone previously mentioned tablet/photoshop but it looked like they were 100% guessing.

Looking into imaging alternatives to Das3d which would likely fry my current set-up in rendering. Plus Das3d models often (with a few notable exceptions) look like freakish porn-clone corpses in uncanny valley territory, so drawing might be the way to go.

lol

This game cause a lot of debates and speculations:

"Is time skip worth?"
"Perry is geh?
"Why Lena and Ian dont use facial masks?"

Its a good thing right?

Evakiss is creating a really good product, we are committed. She can be proud!

Ah, of course. I do realise that the drawing event is an inevitability now that you point it out for me, how silly. I think in my head the word "event" made me think of only the café, that it taking place in the gallery like usual was more of a job than an "event" and therefore I saw them as different instances rather than just occupying a different space in the same time slot from each other, for some reason.

I think it's a compliment ultimately. Frankly I usually get exhausted on the topic of pornography in media such as this, so I think it's refreshing that Evakiss can make something that encourages my interest in both storytelling, games design and erotica.
