Is it possible to play from the male point of view? Or do I have to play with both characters?
Both.Is it possible to play from the male point of view? Or do I have to play with both characters?
There's a subtle difference in Gillian's mannerism in which whether Ian has made his peace or still thinking about her. With the casual Ian, she has a lot of pauses in her sentences and puts on her sad face when asked about messaging first and asks for a coffee. While with the simp Ian, she is very straightforward and put her casual face during the whole conversation if Ian does not reject her coffee date.Sadly, I suspect this one is doomed to be a Bad End (or a Swedish buffet for our local cuck connoisseurs) based on how every option Ian takes in this update to distance himself from Gillian rewards him with Wits gain.
Won't stop me from pursuing it ofc.![]()
Probably plays into the cuck path with simp Ian (since the whole trauma you have to wild card yourself out of is what unlocks cuck path iirc). It'll mostly change the dynamics as whether Ian acts insecure and jacks off to it or gets to bang his ex, as usual. There's a subtle difference in Gillian's mannerism in which whether Ian has made his peace or still thinking about her. Do you think this will imply something? Or it will not matter because in the end we get a plus relationship point for accepting the coffee date anyway.
Ian's attitude towards Gillian is stored in a variable. So far the only functional difference (other than flavor text) is that "simp" Ian will automatically accept the coffee date, while Ian who was more aloof gets a choice whether he accepts the offer or not. Refusing nets you a Wits gain, but it's hard to say if the difference between attitude 2 and 3 in scenario where you do accept will play any role.Do you think this will imply something? Me, I'm hoping for more Minerva content. I honestly sorta love how, all be it unintentionally, Ian and Minerva could easily have a fantastic love story of a young idealistic man getting mentorship from an older woman, who despite herself, regains the optimism she once lost. Why that is wonderful to hear, thanks for the answer! Here's hoping for a Gillian overdose!!
From my experience Cindy becomes conflicted no matter what choices you make. Even on a save totally dedicated to her, with all love choices, there will still be the photo with axel grabbing her tits. I think it's unavoidable, and to be honest, it makes sense since she JUST got out of a relationship. She even says it herself that everything is moving too fast. It sucks but it's a realistic depiction honesly. But we'll see next update if she can make a decision. It was kinda frustrating though..I put a spoiler for who don't want surprise.

I am confused.Well who am I to talk? I love NTR in other games as a good f95 user (God knows how much I love Seeds of Chaos). But as EK's eye says, Ian is the player's self-insertion.

In my case probably because in real life being with a girl like Cindy or Holly is a frustrated dream and Chad Ian is the person I've tried to aspire to with frustration. I also play Axel with Lena just for morbid curiosity. Now, the reality of people who enjoy seeing their Ian humiliated as a cuck... well, it's all subjective.

huh? there's full Emma and Cherry routes. Did I misunderstand?Far as I recall, the only girls I had Ian "romance" outside of Lena are Allison and Cindy.
Well they're probably a larger enterprise. As to complexity, there's amazing subtlety to their work yes, but it's a big world of devs out there. Check out Wife Trainer or X-Change Life if you're interested in such more sophisticated experience.Damn kudos to EK. She has honestly the most complicated games of any VN.
The Lena update.![]()
My thoughts are it won't be like Cindy's situation. The wits point simply indicates that rejecting your cheating ex is the right thing to do. You do that in any scenario irl. But I'm not playing as Ian, I am playing for myselfIan's attitude towards Gillian is stored in a variable. I mean, on one hand you could think this is similar to "set boundaries" with Cindy, but on the other hand i'm not sure if EK would want two very similar arcs in the game, and it is quite different to be rewarded with effective "this is a smart thing to do" for choosing to stay away, period, than just having slightly different attitude about keeping in touch.
Guess we'll have to see, but someone will be eating good either way.![]()

That's because you two aren't setting boundaries with Cindy in chapter 12, before she leaves for the cruise and Ian leaves for the beach house. Instead of mindlessly picking the Heart option that says Ian trusts her, choose the "Quit playing with me option," it's a Wits option, and Ian will be firm with Cindy and set boundaries and expectations with her. Cindy then stops Axel's advances on the cruise, she'll even admit that there was an opportunity to have been with Axel, but she stopped him because she knew it would make Ian mad. Remember, Ian and Cindy are NOT a couple until chapter 13, when they finally have "the talk."From my experience Cindy becomes conflicted no matter what choices you make. Even on a save totally dedicated to her, with all love choices, there will still be the photo with axel grabbing her tits. Nah, you can't unlocked a WIP scene, because PilotLara hasn't added it to the Gallery yet. Keep in mind the Gallery is NOT made by EK. EK only adds it in as PilotLara makes the scenes available independantly. There is a chance that it will be available in the Beta or Final versions of this chapter. The simplest way is to use the switch in the game's settings to unlock full gallery.
Lore historians and literary critics dealing with ORS will undoubtly call that event: "The Blowjob That Killed True Romance".
