I am all for it if there are different plans for one of the 2 main characters, however 1 is getting a constant short end of the stick when it involves the both of them, in my personal opinion. So for example what I said about the Holly situation for the both of em. The Jeremy situation is a bit different but however what I am trying to say in this respect is that the Jeremy thing makes not so much sense, but if she had other plans then by all means, however in this case make it so that Ian get's his fair share, for example Ivy and Louise, make em both available for him.I think Eva just had something different in mind for Lena, Jeremy and Ian which makes the relationship between her and Ian get in the way. Maybe even saying "it's getting in the way" isn't a correct thing to say; more like it's just not the direction Eva wants to take.
A lot of this is true, When it involves people you know nothing about or having no attachment too, there is no loyalty or care. However if it is someone you know or are invested in then emotions do act and enter the stage.I don't think it is all that weird -- it's common for people to treat people with different degree of respect, and to care about some more than others, depending on personal preferences. Lena is on record as a big fan of Holly even before they meet and get to know each other. In contrast she doesn't hold that high opinion of Louise (not surprising when you can see every day the way Louise can act) and even less about Mike's girlfriend she doesn't know anything about (other than said gf has allegedly smaller bust) So, caring about Holly's feelings more than she cares about Louise's or Mike's girlfriend's, it's easy enough to explain.
