I think it comes down to the world of ORS being the main setting which means that your specific playthrough in this one determines what kind of character personalities you'll encounter in the game including the characters from the previous game. And that means that ORS is not the sequel to GGGB. It's just two different games in the same universe imo

That's the reason people don't like if the same character is used in every other game (omitting FMC corruption games).

I mean it would break immersion if EK ever mentioned that these two games are connected in some way in terms of the story. Otherwise, the only reason we have characters from the previous game is that EK simply decided to bring some popular characters from the previous title as cameos and fillers for the story.

This is still quite more versatile than most of the games around here which are one-trick pony catering to single specific audience. Also, you aren't including 4th group, people who love to see the male protagonist cucked from left, right and center.

More generally, self-insert (either as MC or as a target of the MC) because it is not possible to get the desired condition in RL. ORS is good in having a female MC and a male MC; I usually just skip through the male MC and even most of the female MC to get to the Lena-Seymour-Dubai arc because I can no longer get that in RL. (We tried at first and it does not work; it comes out too forced to be erotic.)

I understand a long waiting period between updates, I suppose how we play and if there is a long period between updates something like this could happen, Ian will be a dad when we see him again?

EK is not playing but audience so, it doesn't matter whether EK tells or not. What matters is audience's perspective. EK can't and will never know how every single person is perceiving the story. That's why cameo's should be treated as cameos and shouldn't be given any place in main story.

You're right, these cameos only serve to add some context and others are just for pure filler (Jack), these characters do not contribute to the ORS story and the only thing they can be interesting for is a sex scene that reminds us just a little to GGGB

True, though in your estimation wouldn't that group largely overlap the 3rd I listed? I don't hear too many voices here wanting to see Axel swoop in and fuck Ian's girlfriends, but not Jeremy or Marcel, if anything I hear the latter 2 at the exclusion of the first.
